ElvenScoundrel Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 This shit seems complex and annoying. Is there a place where I can learn how to do it so I can fix texture stretching because of mesh editing?
mem4ob4 Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Have you had a chance to check the two UV maping tutorials on THIS page yet? Gsbmodders posted This awhile back also. Mem
movomo Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 There is a decent way to reduce the texture distortion due to mesh edits like boobs size change.. etc. For very complex UV maps like hairs this isn't so helpful. After you're done with your mesh, enter UV mapping mode. Mark seams properly if needed, and 'pin' the boundary verts so the overall UV map won't be changed. Now unwrap the desired part of mesh again, then most of verts should find their place they should be. If some of them don't move as you expected then manually grab and move them until they look good. note, UV mapping isn't the funniest thing in the world. you need some patience.
