vroom90 Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 Hello everyone! I've always had skyrim for consoles, but since I saw when mods are there, I want to buy it for pc (the legendary edition, because I know there are many more mods) but I can't understand how mods are installed. Could someone armed with patience help me? I apologize for my English and I hope I have not made the wrong topic
Dorabella Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 1) SKSE 2) Mod manager : NMM , Vortex or MO2 3) I have used this list up to point 8, which are the basics ( each mod includes requirements ) 4) This is only the beginning, everything else is relatively simple. Just be careful which mods you use. Make sure that the mods you will use will be compatible for Skyrim LE (Oldrim) Attention : Before anything else make sure you have installed: Skyrim, Update, Dawnguard, HearthFires, Dragonborn, Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch
Dragon on the Web Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 I'd recommend getting Special Edition since most "LE" mods have either already been ported or can be easily manually ported using Cathedral Assets Optimizer - and on top of that, you will get the benefits of a 64-bit runtime (better performance) and a higher RAM cap (more stability). Just be sure to disable automatic updating so you don't have to wait for SKSE mods to be updated each time they update the creation club! Regardless, mods installation in SE is the same as in LE with the addition of the ability to use the built-in mods system
