RoseRoseRo Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 I've now spent the entire morning trying to get this to work and it just won't. I've tried multiple different meshes, followed the install instructions on each to a T multiple times over. NOTHING registers with body selector. Every time I go in all it shows is default and native. That's it. Am I missing something? Did a recent patch just break it? Sorry if this comes across a bit ranty but I literally have just spent hours trying to get this to work and it's really getting on my nerves at this point.
Crashdown117 Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 Believe me, I know how frustrating this can get. It's usually a small detail that causes big issues. First of all, make sure that the game, WW and all other mods are up to date. This might sound like some lazy tech support advice, but sometimes an outdated mod can really mess things up. Now, for the body parts(or models, or meshes, or whatever you wanna call them): There are two things that can go wrong and again these are easily overlooked. First, your body parts need to be WW compatible (I'm pretty sure you checked that - also, body parts from LoversLab are all compatible AFAIK), and second, you need to make sure the game can actually read them. This is where stuff often goes wrong, since the game doesn't look for files within Mods that are more than one subfolder deep. In other words, "Mods/Body Parts" is a directory that's registered by the game, while "Mods/WickedWhims/Body Parts" is not. If you've done all that and they still don't show up in Body Selector, clear your Mods folder (move everything somewhere else) and delete "localthumbcache.package" found in "Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4". Now, move WW and the body parts back into Mods. You can also add mods like MC Command Center, Basemental Drugs or Nisa's Wicked Perversions, if you use them, but all other mods and custom content should stay out. Launch the game and enter Body Selector - your additional body parts should show up now. If they don't, re-download the .package files for them and try again. Next, move your remaining mods back into the Mods folder, either a few at a time or using the 50/50 method and launch the game between the additions (to check whether the issue is there again). Pay close attention to any outdated mods (especially files dated mid-2019 or earlier) and duplicate files (especially when it comes to CC), as these are some of the most common causes for issues.

It's working now. Mostly at least. A couple bits and pieces are still being argumentative but the majority is all working. Thanks.
