Drewski81 Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 Hello all, I have a question about bed animations: for some reason, all I get when I click on a bed is 'nap' or 'sleep' but there's no WW option at all. Does anyone know why this is? Is it because animations are missing? I've also noticed I can't claim a bed like I used to be able to, and I've no idea why. Cheers, Drew
Crashdown117 Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 Claiming a bed was replaced by assingning it to a Sim in one of the more recent game updates. If you don't get the "Wicked" option an locations other than the bed, a game update is probably the reason for that, too. To fix it, go into game settings and enable mods again - they're disabled after every game update. Also note that Murphy Beds (that came with Tiny Living) currently aren't a WW location.
Drewski81 Posted April 1, 2020 Author Posted April 1, 2020 I'm only using the base game right now (Legacy Edition because my Mac is an older model). I get WW options in other places, but not everywhere. I've had so many glitches lately, I think I'm just going to do a proper clear out and start from scratch. Over the years several bits of CC have stopped working anyhow. It's a shame there's not a quick and easy checker to figure out what CC and Mods are conflicting or broken.
Crashdown117 Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 Yeah, I often wish we had something like this, too. Starting from scratch is probably the best you can do, especially given all the mods that don't work with Legacy (WW's still fine, don't worry).

If you can get WW on some things, let's call them A1, and you can't on others, let's call them A2, you need first see what the differences are between A1 and A2, as the game might recognise them as 2 separate scenarios (difference in item types, or you have a WW setting that allows A1 because it's in a private setting but disallows A2 because it's in public, etc). It can also simply be you have animations packages that suit A1, but not A2, vice versa.

I've tried using WW with MCCC but the sex/pregnancy settings between the two seem to conflict and it stops working - at least for me!
Crashdown117 Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 MCCC and WW don't really conflict, they just need to be set to the same values. For example, if you allow teen-adult relationships in WW but not in MCCC, they will not be allowed in-game - but if you allow them in both WW and MCCC, everything is fine. You basically have to go through the same settings twice, once for WW and once for MCCC, but once you've done that, there'll be no conflicts between them.

In the end, I ditched MCCC and just started used any cheats I wanted to use by typing them in manually. Is that true for things like same-sex pregnancy too? I was messing around with WW the other day to figure out what could and couldn't be done and noted that no matter what I did when I had both WW and MCCC installed at the same time that it didn't work. I removed MCCC and it worked instantly (as it were).
Crashdown117 Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 Yeah, it's true for every option regarding sex and relationships, although MCCC doesn't have some that are WW specific. I use both mods alongside each other without any problems. Thing is, just like with default replacements in CAS or body part overrides, when there's two different values the game sees a conflict and tries to resolve it - usually by ignoring both values, going back to its own default. When both values are the same, the game happily accepts them (actually, it discards one bc it doesn't need two identical values, but nvm).

So, perhaps you could help a newbie: I've now downloaded MCCC again (Legacy Edition). When I click on a specific Sim, I get the menu (Pic attached). That allows me to modify that Sim's specific relationships etc., or make them pregnant. But what I can't find anywhere are options to apply these rules to the world in the same way you can in WW. Am I being daft? Where do I change the rules to allow things like male pregnancy and adult-teen relationships etc.? Like I said, at the minute these options only seem to relate to a specific Sim.
Crashdown117 Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 No, you're not being daft or anything, I just assumed you were already familiar with MCCC and left out a few details. My bad, sorry. The menu your pic shows is the one for a particular Sim, there you can change stuff about that Sim and that Sim only. It's basically a more convenient way of entering console cheats. The menu you want is another one and it's accessed by using a computer. It will look pretty similar to the one in your pic, but this one handles global settings that affect every single Sim in your game world. You could say that the computer is where you set the rules and the Sim specific menu is where you break them. There is also a third menu, accessed by clicking on your household's mailbox. This is where you can change time of day, have any Sim in your game come over and do some other things.
