The mechanics are kinda dumb, but here's a simplified version of it:

Female Insect or Insect Race spawns egg inside itself,
Female Insectoid has sex with a female pawn, vaginal specifically,
Female pawn now has egg inside of them, then they need to have sex with another Insectoid, now male.
The male should fertilize the egg inside the female, and then later they will spawn a creature of that type.

You can customize the fertilization to allow any creature with a male Ovipositor to fertilize it, but it turns the eggs into that creature's egg type regardless of what female implanted them.
