kendramjf Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 Okay, I have an issue with some sims disappearing. One male sim in particular that I play with who lives in an apartment in San Myshuno keeps disappearing. I replace him with the copy of him I have in my sims folder yet he still disappears again. I play him, make him meet lots of other sims, start relationships (friendships and girlfriends), I make him gain skills and then, he's gone yet he's not dead. When I don't play with him for a day or two and go back to play him, he's has disappeared. This sim has fathered children, now the kids don't know who their father is (lol). None of his friends, girlfriends, or baby mamas remember him ever existing. This also happened to the karaoke legends household after I made them over (cause they look horrible). I played them for a couple of times, went back to their household and they were all gone.
Crashdown117 Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 Sims disappearing (not death of old age, just gone without notice) is usually caused by a mechanism called "culling" that the game uses to prevent overpopulation (at least, that's the idea behind it). Culling is not exactly everybody's favorite, so modders have given us a way to disable it, most notably the "No Culling" mod by Neia (just google it). You can also disable it with MC Command Center, although I don't remember where to find that specific setting other than in the global options accessed via any computer. It's probably in Population, but I've been wrong about such details in the past, so just look through all modules until you find it.
