I have an issue with the Sexbound API

My SxB crashes on launch, even with only the API installed, image attached.

while i'm not technically minded enough to tell you why it crashed, based on experience starbound only tends to crash when the mod is installed incorrectly, so double check that first

make sure your mods folder looks like this and not like this

Alright, lemme run this through you real quick.

 

So, that there;

Is usually caused by a malformed file. Either you; Downloaded a corrupted PAK file or similarly some file within the folder is corrupted
OR

You did the thing people said "works" and edited the .pak in notepad, which is definitely not cool and will damage the file.

 

If any of the above are true, the solution is simple, to re-obtain the file, if not, then well, i'd recommend posting your starbound.log file that is within the storage folder. Preferably just after you crash the game like above, and pick the "starbound.log" or just "starbound" as a text file, in there, not log.1, log.2, etc.

I Install all the mods using Nexus vortex. I'm having the same problem where it crashes before it even opens and sometimes it doesn't even bother to show the fatal error Plus I already have the mod freakin universe, so if there's a way I can fix it or replace it or maybe it's freaking universe please tell me

1. Don't. Install. SB mods. Through vortex. It is not skyrim.

Starbound have [simple folder] - mods. Just throw them (.pak or unziped srk folder) there.

 

2. Fu may [break?] overwrite SxB important files.
