Ganen Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 So, with dragonborn DLC mod related issues, I decided to go through hell (again) and make a clean installation of the game with a fresh, as short as possible list of mods. thing is a few of the mods that I don't want to give up have been known to cause issues, and one of the solutions was to install the unofficial dragonborn patch, so I figure since I will have to make a clean save anyway, why not try all of the unofficial patches aswell, since I tried using them in the past but always on mid-games (that they recommend against) which resulted in dodgy results. now my question is, what are your experiences using these patches? are they worth it? do they break more than they fix (my short experience with them with mid game saves)? and with a side note, as anyone managed to pinpoint specific animation mods that cause problems with dragonborn? namely the elevator float bug and the dragonriding/miraak fight bugs).
maybenexttime Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 um they def help without question, altho i admit i started a new game, roughly 10 hours no crashes yet, i have about 30 mods in stall. These are all I know small numbers but I haven't encountered any bugs or problems yet
polluxval Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 i have them plus max limit of mods. so far no issues, but i dont dare to throw them out. so i can say they do their job just fine.
Mashi Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Yeah it's worth it, especially with some of the more persistant bugs that haven't been fixed like the drain vitality and marked death shout bugs. Though some people find the biggest the biggest improvement in doing master cleaning. If you don't know how to do master cleaning
kaosmu Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Yes, it's worth. Make sure to install'em before any other mods. For example... <Do not put any mod before theses> Unoficial Skyrim Patch Dawnguard Unofficial Dawnguard Patch Dragonborn Unoficial Dragonborn Patch <Other mods goes here> Well... BOSS may ask you to do something else, but so far I had no issues... And I almost have 300 hours of gameplay. xD

Always consider the big unoffical patches to be as official as the bethesda ones, and more likely to actually FIX bugs too.
cornbreadtm Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Actually most of the time the Unofficial patches end up fixing the official patches. I love reading the change logs just to see that the last patch effectively fixed 1 thing and broke 15 others which the unofficial patch team promptly fixes.
