N.Gamma
Hello, i have changed a weapon mod from an esp to an esl with the creation kit. That wasn't hard either. For this mod there is an addon, which fetches the main mod as master file. How can I change that not the esp but the esl is used as master? Link to comment
DocClox
Have you tried editing the masters list for the file using xEdit/zEdit? Should be fairly straightforward. Link to comment
Invictusblade
ok here is a question for you. which is the file order you want? 1 Master.esp (esl) Slave.esp or 2 Master.esl (esl) Slave.esp or 3 Master.esp (esl) Slave.esl or 4 Master.esl (esl) Slave.esl because some are recommended, while other are discouraged (they still work) or did I get your idea wrong Link to comment

Invictusblade
ok so the easiest way to do this. get a copy of FO4Edit open both files using it (after making sure that they are in the order that you want them in) in the master file the way I do this is to right click on a ID and "Copy As Override into..." and select the slave file (or make a new one) and it will ask you to confirmed it, click yes finally on both files, go to the file header in Record Flags, select ESL on both files (that will marked them as ESL regardless of filetype) and then save it and it should work where it gets dicey, is when you want to have an ESL as a Master and an ESP as a slave because by it nature, an ESL will use the FE offset in Fallout 4 and ESP cannot. so in the game engine, the slave ID is before the master ID (well that is my understanding of it, I might be wrong) Link to comment
