[Starbound] Lewd Damage Overlay

Installing this mod changes your game to display a random lewd image every time your player takes damage. It was just an idea I had.

Requirements

None, but this mod pairs well with Sexbound + Sexbound Defeat.

Installation

*This mod was made for Starbound v1.3.2

1) Extract the contents from .zip file.

2) Move the extracted .pak file into your Starbound mods directory.

3) Finished.

Is there a way to change the images? or add more?

In the SRC version, you go to interface > lewddamageoverlay > lewdamageoverlay.config. You can add / change the image in the damageOverlayImages array. The images must be 1440 x 800 pixels.

Do you think it would be possible to make it only enable for certain race or gender? I would like to modify it to use pixel art instead that make scenes with the character a bit more.

Get hit, you can bleed or leak piss.

Is the image canvas eating mouse inputs a known issue?

The overlay is more like a menu, like inventory, and as such, mouse inputs are interacting with the overlay, therefore while an overlay is up on the screen you can not interact with the environment through your mouse. This is especially frustrating when in combat and you get hurt, 1. it blocks your vision, and 2. it prevents you from using items, like weapons, tools and healing, this leads to a vicious cycle of getting hurt, unable to react, and getting hurt again.

I tried to add more to the pool just to see if it would work by adding it exactly like this:

But either i'm extremely unlucky and it didn't play for me, or it didn't work.

I got mine working by naming it overlay11 like yours but in the config make sure the last one is without comma for instance

"damageOverlayImages" : [
      "/interface/lewddamageoverlay/overlay1.png:default.1",
      "/interface/lewddamageoverlay/overlay2.png:default.1",
      "/interface/lewddamageoverlay/overlay3.png:default.1",
      "/interface/lewddamageoverlay/overlay4.png:default.1",
      "/interface/lewddamageoverlay/overlay5.png:default.1",
      "/interface/lewddamageoverlay/overlay6.png:default.1",
      "/interface/lewddamageoverlay/overlay7.png:default.1",
      "/interface/lewddamageoverlay/overlay8.png:default.1",
      "/interface/lewddamageoverlay/overlay9.png:default.1",
      "/interface/lewddamageoverlay/overlay10.png:default.1",
      "/interface/lewddamageoverlay/overlay11.png:default.1"
]

and it should work

While I'm writing this I'm trying to implement gifs but I'm struggling to get it working since I don't think the canvas supports gifs on it's own.

idk about apng (animated png) if anyone know please respond thanks
