[MO2] Merge Plugins Integration wont detect MO2

I want to install Merge Plugins on my new PC.

I installed i through MO2, then start it through MO2.

I set the directories and check "I m using Mod Organizer".

But no matter if I choose everything manually or via "Detect Integrations", the OK button is GREYED FUCKING OUT!

I originally had MO2 installed outside of Skyrim Folder.

Since the MergePlugins install video suggests putting MO2 in the SKYRIM Folder I did that...

But still: greyed out...

Any idea?
If I uncheck "I m using Mod Organizer" at least everything SEEMS to work. Meaning I can use the tool and merge mods.
But as usual I have no idea if that creates some kind of bomb that will go off later....

Any ideas?

On my old installation on my old PC I could easily chose the MO2 path that I wanted and could then set "OK"...

EDIT:

I just realised that I cannot tick the "Handle Script Fragments" :(
So the greyed out OK button is messing up more than I thought.

All install paths are correct, for Papyrus, Champiollion and so on...

At one point you could place mo2 inside the game folder I used to myself, then noticed after one of the updates that things like xedit and bodyslide were not working correctly, a bit of digging around found that for what ever reason, mo2 no longer likes being placed inside the game folder.  Though from some of the comments I saw when trying to find out what was going on it was somewhat of a hit and miss thing in that some people could still do it with no problems others had various problems.

yeah, I read about that. Just hoped that it fixes the Merge Plugins issue...

But since it did not, I will move the MO2 files back out again.
its really a mess....

What I dont understand is, if merged plugins will only work with the correct path set. because it seems to...

If you are getting or wanting it to fix scripts and such when merging, then every path it wants to be set, must be set correctly for it to rebuild those scripts and such, though if not set correctly chances are they will still merge and seem to work but things might be a bit more crash prone when the merge is installed, especially if there are quite a few scripts included in the various mods being merged.  If you are just merging armor and weapons you can pretty much ignore things like the champilion and bsa paths, just remember to manual extract bsa files for each mod in the merge.

hmm, this might explain some weird behaviour of mods after merge.

This kinda kills my profile for the moment, since I cannot get below 255 without the merges... but the merges seem to not merge correctly without the file paths and the file paths I cannot set because... Greyed out OK. Pretty :(

this is a screen of my files (nvm the "screenshot" lol)

Hmm, odd taking a look at that screen shot you should be able to click ok, only thing I can think of is giving the merge plugins exe admin rights, if that does not sort it them I am stumped.

I think mator has a github page where most of the stuff is done, though it might be worth asking here https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69905?tab=description

How much if any help the nexus page will give you is anybodies guess, but there is a link to the gitub page, which might be a bit more useful.

Use the normal way in windows to give the exe admin, it should be fine then when running through mo.  Was the screen shot when run externally? If so that might be part of the problem, you have to run all tools/utilities through mo.

Github seems to be abandonned

Not too sure but I do not think mator is too active any more in skyrim modding, not too sure, or at least his focus seemed to be on zedit rather than anything else, well it seemed to be the last time I was looking.

it changed nothing, no matter how I did it.
always the same result. Makes me quite mad at the moment. Programmers make the life more fun, but also can give normal people brain damage lol

especially since it is something as dead simple als file pathing... and it worked before with an almost identical constellation on my other PC...
