Ocelot11 Posted March 5, 2020 Posted March 5, 2020 Hi everyone, I recently started modding my Skyrim game using Mod Organizer 2. However, when I load my save I get an error message stating that the SkyUI mod is outdated or missing which causes Sexlab to not function I used to the link to the SkyUI mod found here: And as far as I can tell, it's installed correctly. Anyone got any solutions?
Just Don't Posted March 5, 2020 Posted March 5, 2020 That's a Skyrim SE guide, but you're posting in the... adult mods section. Ok, wrong forum section. Other than that, I have no idea what Skyrim version you're using, probably you have LE (the classic, the one from 2011) and that SkyUI linked in that guide is the one for SE (the 2016 re-release). If this is your case you'll have to check every other mod you installed, or probably follow other guide made for LE instead of using a SE guide.
Ocelot11 Posted March 5, 2020 Author Posted March 5, 2020 Well, I posted here because I assumed the problem is with Sexlab, since as far as I can tell SkyUI is correctly installed with the latest version. Also, I'm using SE, not LE.
Just Don't Posted March 5, 2020 Posted March 5, 2020 The proper section would be a tech support, as you're playing in SE, the tech support for SE. If you're on SE and installed the one linked in the guide, then your Sexlab framework is the wrong version. Pure guessing tho. The screenshot you linked doesn't show properly, opening separately only tells me that Sexlab is complaining about skyui version. Which Sexlab Framework version did you installed? where did you get it?
Ocelot11 Posted March 6, 2020 Author Posted March 6, 2020 Ah, ok. Thank you! I'm using this version, which I got via the guide in my first post. Edit: I decided to wipe everything and start over using the guide in your signature instead. Now it seems to work smoothly (so far at least!). Thanks!
Just Don't Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 But which version? 163 beta 8? I'm having a hard time here guessing relevant information. So I'll list what I would check and let you do the checking and fixing. Check that your Skyrim SE version match your SKSE64 version (doubt this is your issue but is worth the little time it cost you so you are sure this won't be an issue later). Check your SKSE64 install has been done properly (dll/exe files go in the main Skyrim SE folder, not in data. The scripts have been added using a mod manager or manually into the Data folder). Check you have a matching Sexlab Framework SE version. The latest one (163 beta 8.) is compatible with the latest SE/SKSE64. Check that you don't have other old Sexlab framework installs enabled in MO, you might have the latest one but if you kept the old ones enabled these might overwrite the new version. Check that you don't have other old SkyUI install enabled in MO. This is a given as you're using MO and following that guide, but it might be worth checking if you don't have mod files into the actual Skyrim SE folder (from past manual installs or NMM usage). Check that your Overwrite entry in MO is empty, ideally you should move every file in there to its own mod ASAP. If you are sure and double sure all of the above is in order and you keep getting that error I'm not sure where to look really. BTW is this happening in an existing save or in a new game? can you check if starting a new game gives the same result?
Ocelot11 Posted March 6, 2020 Author Posted March 6, 2020 Not sure if you saw my edit before you started writing, but everything works now after following the thread in your signature! Thanks again for the help!
Just Don't Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 Ah that's cool. Note that my guide covers the minimum to get Sexlab working, you could use that guide as a reference to get more mods on top of what you've done using mine.
