LTD Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Okay, so this isn't my first time running Lovers mods, and I know I've had all this working before. Right now I can't for the life of me figure out why scamps and goblins are either missing their entire bodies or at least below the waist for some goblins (probably other monsters, but I'm on a new game). This only happens with 'wild' ones, as the ones summoned by the spell from creatures are whole. I installed ALL of: Oblivion Sexulized Monsters Lovers Creatures Lovers Creatuers Optional mesh pack I've checked the folder structures and it's all where it's supposed to be. I've tried moving things around slightly, but without success. What about some of the lovers files that duped? Which versions should I be using of things like LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp or the .bsa, the one from the rev96 resource pack or the one from the 'New and Improved Animation Project' (which I also have installed)? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
gregathit Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 The problem could be the Sexualized Monsters plugin. It is not designed to work with lovers. It was just meant to give the vanilla creatures genitals. As to the two files you are talking about, if you have Donkey's New and Improved Animation project installed then you need to be running the version that comes with it. In other words: yes, overwrite the ones from the resource pack with the ones from Donkey's New and Improved pack. Oh, and this LoversCreature_SexualOrgans.esp plugin needs to be merged into a bashed patch and then disabled. It can NEVER be run enabled as it causes problems.

I followed your suggestions and after meticulously deleting all the OSM textures (and re-pasting the textures from LoversCreatures) didn't do it I tried just disabling LoversCreature_SexualOrgans.esp and boom, bodies! Guess it's high time I learned how to use Wrye Bash, huh? EDIT: Bodies gone again, argh. This is with LoversCreature_SexualOrgans.esp and LoversCreature_SexualOrgans_Scale.esp now in bashed patch, and as far as I can tell, disabled. The text in Wrye Bash is purple and the checkbox just has a little dot in it. The tooltip info SAYS they are merged, and the overview after rebuilding the patch says those files are inactive but graphics have been imported from them. Do I need to have LoversCreature_SexualOrgans.esp in order for LoversCreature to work? Seems to me that if I don't, the easiest solution to is just drop it and not worry about Wrye Bash.
vashar Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 The SexualOrgans mod(s) enables vanilla creatures to have genitals when having sex with you- Otherwise, they just dry hump. It's not required for LoversCreature, but it's nice to have around. I run Oblivion without the file, since I modified the creature meshes to have dicks all the time, and I haven't had any problems. Just don't delete the meshes, since they're shared with LoversCreature You might try removing the "nomerge" tag from SexualOrgans,(This should be what's causing it to be purple, when merged plugins are green,) and adding the "Merge" tag. This can be done by: Selecting the mod, and looking in the bottom-right of Wrye Bash. There should be a box with "Bash Tags:" above it. If the box has the phrase "nomerge" in it, go to step 3, and if not, go to step 4 Right click in the box and find the "normerge" option from the popup list and click it. Right click the mod, and find the "Mark Mergeable" option from the popup list, and click it. Rebuild your bashed patch, and check to see if Sexual Organs is merged.
LTD Posted February 8, 2013 Author Posted February 8, 2013 Bashed patching didn't fix the problem, not even with your suggestions, vashar. Don't suppose you'd be willing to upload your custom creature (unless it's full of futa, then nvm, not my cup of tea)? Furthermore, after the Wrye Bash treatment Oblivion began to lock up when trying to shut it down, so I'm reverting to a pre-Lovers backup of the Data folder. There's been a lot of messing around, though, so I'm thinking it just might all work from the get go if I do it the 'correct' way from the start. I'll let you know if that solves it. Either way, thanks for all the help guys; all I want to do is get a nice kinky game of Oblivion going, and they won't let me!
gregathit Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 The freeze on shut down is a common error with oblivion and is resolved with a very simple and easy to install dll: http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/22410 It goes into your oblivion\data\obse\plugins\ folder. There is no esp or esm so it has zero footprint or effect on your game other than to resolve the vanilla game bug on exit.

Went back and double checked that the *_Scale.esp was bashed in properly, and it still had the 'no merge' tag on it. Scamps got pee-pees now, and the clannfear too (yup, I'm up to the Siege of Kvatch). I'll report later, either screaming mad and looking for more help, or to confirm and finally click that 'Mark Solved' button! Thanks for all the help, either way! EDIT 2: Yay! --------- OP: That's the first time I've run into that Oblivion bug, thanks for the fix, gregathit! I've gotten my game to the point where I've confirmed everything is working fine EXCEPT that whenever I add in that LoversCreature_SexualOrgans.esp file parts still go missing. I created a bashed patch, made sure to disable all the other LoversPK stuff first, and the problem persists. Here's exactly how I did it, so maybe you can tell me where I went wrong: Disabled all the lovers plugins, except for LoversCreature_SexualOrgans.esp (so it had a check mark next to it when I started) Created the bashed patch, when it was done LoversCreature_SexualOrgans.esp had a little + symbol next to it. Fired up the game to check, disembodied mobs. :\ Back out, some headscratching, tried again with LoversCreature_SexualOrgans.esp ghosted, but still with a + symbol next to it. Fired up the game to check, disembodied mobs. :\ Rebuilt the patch again, this time with LoversCreature_SexualOrgans.esp unchecked in the patcher window so it came out with a little . in the margin next to it. Tooltip said 'can be merged into bashed patch. Imported into bashed patch.' Fired up the game to check, disembodied mobs. :\ Wanted to confirm everything else was still working, and, well, the goblins in Cracked Wood Cave were up for a gangbang, but it was damn strange when they were all just floating upper bodies. Finally, I rebuilt the patch without LoversCreature_SexualOrgans.esp at all. Went back to make sure that I hadn't caused irreparable damage to my setup, and the goblins had a their legs back! And the basic boners that don't line up with the animations so well. Gangbang looked MUCH better. I'm going to stick with this for now. If you awesome and helpful people have some further suggestions, I'm game to try to figure this out yet. Just no more tonight!
gregathit Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 The sexual organs plugin is in dire need of an overhaul. It could be a simple matter of the esp pointing to the incorrect meshes for the goblins. At some point I will get around to trying to update the plugin.
vashar Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 If you're not using sexual organs, you might go through any other creature folders you have and overwrite the vanilla meshes. That way you don't have to deal with animals dry humping you. (That's essentially what I did. You might look at the replacement meshes that Gregathit uploaded a while ago, that isn't futa. Then copy and rename. You should still have the files ending with "armor" though, since they're used for LoversCreature.)

LTD Posted February 10, 2013 Author Posted February 10, 2013 Vashar and fejeena: that probably explains why I did have some of them working when I just took out the LoversCreature_SexualOrgans.esp, but not everything. I do have it all working now, with the .esp files, via finally being pushed to start to learn how to use Wrye Bash. I'm just lazy, so I when I looked at the complicated looking mess of Wrye Bash (powerful tools are so often complex and intimidating) before I simply stuck my tongue out at it and clicked 'uninstall'. Amazing how sexual things are such great motivators for us humans, huh? gregathit: if you get to that, you might want to check out the version of LoversCreature_SexualOrgans.esp that the LoversMotionsNT readme points you to. I don't think that works with the current setup, even bashed in. I tried the exact same procedure and it gave me the missing body glitch again, but all was fine as soon as I removed that and bashed the 'stock' LoversCreature_SexualOrgans.esp back in. The LoversMotionsNT one is about five time the size, however, so if it can be made compatible it might be awesome.
fejeena Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 LTD do you have all creatures meshes for the LoversCreature_SexualOrgans.esp (LoversMotionsNT;up001866.rar)? It use the armor.nif from LoversCreatures. The armor_m.nif from LoversCreature_SexualOrgans (the original with the meshes folder for Goblin,Imp,Lich,Ogre,Scamp,Troll and Xivilai). A horsepenis.nif (of course for the horses) but that nif is not in these downloads(or not in the one I downloaded). The dogd.nif from LoversBitch. I don't use LoversCreature_SexualOrgans, because I have nearly 250 active esp (with 254 or 255 the game crash at start), so I use my mesh replacer for all vanilla creatures. I found a horsepenis.nif, HorseDick_fixed2.7z http://www.loverslab.com/topic/1155-dicks-for-horses/?do=findComment&comment=26591 I didn't test it. vashar Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 If you do use the horsedick mod with Slof's Horses, I recommend you try my personal copy. It makes them all proper stallions, so you won't end up with futa mares :B It replaces the Slof's Horses mod's esp, but you'll still need the meshes from that, as well as the ones posted on the OP of the horsedick thread.
