Something is causing a CTD when I take damage in certain ways.

So, recently I've found that whenever I take damage I get a CTD. But not always. Fall damage? no CTD. If I block the attack with a shield or weapon? no CTD. But if I take direct damage from an enemy I immediately get a CTD when his weapon or spell hits me. I'm not sure what's causing this to happen, but hopefully some of you will be better informed than I am

It sounds like shader for a magic effect or something is causing CTD

 

Does it happen in different armor or naked?

 

Does it happen when hit by a spell?

 

Can you make a test character and see if they also get CTD'd

So far it happens when I'm naked, wearing imperial armor, and wearing iron armor.

 

It happens both when I'm wearing enchanted gear and when I'm not.

 

Yes It does happen when I'm hit with any spell or any weapon as far as I can tell.

 

I made a test character by using the coc console command in the main menu, he also got a CTD immediately upon being hit.

I found out what mod is causing it. It was captured dreams. Which is weird considering I've been using that mod for a long time without this problem. I would like to continue using that mod so I hope there's a fix.

I have no Idea about how that mod works cause I don't use it, but it's probably a mod conflict with another mod. You could post on the captured dreams topic here in the forum and see if you get a response.

For some reason, when I installed Prison Overhaul and DDe, the problem went away. Not sure why and I'm not really questioning it too much.
