Giving a follower a custom body

Was wondering how I would give a super basic follower a custom body? I dont guess it'd be as simple as directing the body to a different folder in TES5Edit? If not could someone explain how or point me to a tutorial that explains how to do so in the CK?

 

I've built the body I want to give her in bodyslide and copied the femalebody_0 and femalebody_1, would I need anything else just to change the base body?

If it is a downloaded follower and came as lose files it is quite easy. Go to Data/Meshes/Actor/Character/follower name and place those (femalebody files) into that folder. If it is an esp file you will need to unpack it to do that, if you made the follower yourself  just create said folder and point to it.

Well atm it uses the pc body so the only thing under Meshes\Actors\Character is FaceGenData. I can just create a folder under Character and drop them in there but since it didint come with a body I would have to open the esp and point to that folder right?

тело,руки и ноги,кидаешь в папку последователя,если последователь в бса,то распаковываешь и кидаешь.

It needs to be a custom race. You can follow the tutorials for making a standalone follower.

it can be done to vanilla races as well though but for better implementation you can make custom race this is best for male characters I think.

First off  create armor add on's. thos are in the items section. You will copy Naked feet, naked hands, and naked torso for the race you want. Re name each one's ID so you can find them. type 'naked' in the search. put your custom nifs from the folder structure of your character into the boxed which say male on top female on bottom.  make sure your race can use this armor add on, theres a list of races who can use your body on the right. if it isn't listed the click on that race and it will be highlighted. next you go to armor tab and search 'naked' again, than copy 'naked skin'. you open the copy up and rename it. now you delete the nifs in the bottom right corner box that says naked feet naked hands and naked torso. next you right click or drag your armor add on's into the bottom right box. (right click add is best) set the top box to your race where it says 'Nord'. now you got skin for your character.

Go next to actor tab, set in the Traits tab the "Skin' to your new skin naked which will be whatever you named it.

another thing is you need to map textures in Miscellaneous to have those. (Textures are so that those can be different from what other ppl have installed) so that takes a bit of work to track down 'skin' textures and map those.

Took me 4 hours but I actually managed to do it with a tutorial and your help. Even took the time to custom fit a armor for her. Only thing is her face and neck are a little darker (just a little, not the grey face thing) than her body but I'm guessing thats because she has a custom face or because the body is white af without textures and I couldn't do the textures because it kept saying invalid directory but I'll just figure that out later.

Единственное, что ее лицо и шея немного темнее (совсем немного, а не серая фигура), чем ее тело, но я предполагаю, что это потому, что у нее нестандартное лицо или потому что тело белое без текстур, и я не смог не делаю текстур, потому что они постоянно говорят неверный каталог, но я просто выясню это позже.
