CTD everytime I go to Whiterun during the day

I give up, I tried everything I could think of, disabling mod after mod to see if the problem is solved but there's no use, everytime I enter Whiterun during the day the screen just turn black and after a while the game closes itself, sometimes it doesn't and I have to restart the PC. During the night everything seems just fine, I walk around the market, the residential areas, the Jorrvaskr, everything seems just fine, but the moment the NPCs start getting out of their homes, the game just decides to break, generally next to or in the market area. That leads me to believe that the NPCs are the problem, but why Whiterun, from all the places, there are NPCs scattered in the entire game? I tested all other the cities and everything works just fine. After spending the entire night looking for a solution, I give up, you guys are my last resort, I don't know shit about load orders, perhaps mine is all messed up and that's what is causing the issue, I don't know. I'll leave it here for you guys to give a look if you want. I don't know what to do anymore, perhaps turn into a Vampire and roleplay just entering cities at night, cause I'm tired of this bullshit. I appreciate any help you guys can give me.

Are you saying that this happens with just the vanilla game and no mods? Has the game ever been happy with Whiterun?

That is so out of date - almost 6 years!

 

You don't appear to have any mods which do anything to Whiterun in particular or any of the settlements.

Seeing that your load order is mostly clothing and armour, I would look at what the NPCs might be wearing rather than the NPCs themselves.

Seeing that your load order is mostly clothing and armour, I would look at what the NPCs might be wearing rather than the NPCs themselves.

Thanks for the insights, I'll go around checking each NPC to see if there's something wrong with them.

Tricky. If you try it during the day it will just crash as normal. If you try it at night they will mostly be behind locked doors.

Tedious, but the most effective way I can think of is to disable all your armour/clothing mods and see if it still bombs. If it does then you have something wring with the configuration and set up your game. If it doesn't bomb then add the armours/clothing mods back a few at a time until it bombs again.

 

You could also try switching off your ENB and trying Whiterun by day.

 

I would definitely get rid of that SPO mod. If your machine is good enough to run an ENB then it is unlikely to need resource saving tweaks from 2014. It may be the culprit here as it is using/working with the USLEEP patch from 2014 and that patch has been updated a zillion times since then. It may also be in disagreement with your ENB as to what should be enabled or disabled.

After some testing, it seems that perhaps there's something to do with the Companions, coincidentally the faction I hate the most, everytime they're indoors the game works fine, but when they leave Jorrvaskr during the day to chill outside, the game will 100% crash, and it also crashes when I try to enter the  Jorrvaskr during the day. Still don't know what is making them crash the game tho, if they're indeed the source of the problem of course.

Are they wearing any special armour or carrying any special weapon? Any werewolf mod going on?

The only thing I can think of is that Immersive Armors equip the Wolf Armor on all of them, but I don't think that could be the issue, I might try disabling that tho.
