about the worth of eyes of the falmer... (spoiler alert)

if you have done the thieves guild quest, you probably remember that Karliah told you that Mercer could get away everything and live his life alone if he got the eyes of falmer. but the worth of the eyes of falmer is actually 2500 gold each. There are plenty of stuff you can find that's more valuable than these "treasures" and I feel like it should be worth more than 2500. So I wanna ask you guys how much you think is appropriate for these eyes of the falmer to be worth each. I'd say more than 100k up to 1M. I know it's a game breaking amount of gold but this is likely the amount that "you can live the rest of your life alone". What do you guys think?

I wonder if her comment is a remark about what she thinks he could get for them from a connection he has and not what you, as a potential guild leader would get as a cut of the spoils for bringing them back.

 

Since the guild keeps them as trophies and does not sell them, they might not have the underworld connections .. possibly back to some rich noble in the Imperial province.

well, you know you can get two of these eyes. The one that the Thieves guild keeps and one that you get to keep. I think the value or gold you can get from selling it should be the same amount that Mercer would have earned.
