mods not working or showing

I made a mods folder i unzipped the mods and put them there.  I have ccmerged and resource.cfg  and it is still not working.  I do not see settings when i open up sims 3.  can you help

Just kill this post and ask in either General, or preferably Technical support for Sims 3.
