First post here, need help with .py files.

I'm baffled by .py, .pyo, .pyc files in my, well, files. Where do they belong? I may have scooted some around in error and now game won't load... Really appreciate any help, honestly. JUST got over the updatepocalypse and had most of my mods working, now this confusion... 

 

Additionally, does every mod require its .txt file to be in the Sims 4 folder? Or can it be left out? (It doesn't go in Mods, right?)

 

Help appreciated. I'm a bit dumb on this stuff.

It's best to only put .package and .script files in the Mods folder.

The game puts a config file in there too that's needed for loading mods.

 

If you messed up the game files you can try doing an Origin repair.

Just right click on your TS4 picture on Origin for options.
