CTD after new game loads.

It was working before I downloaded most sexlab compatible mods. I really don't want to reinstall the entire thing AGAIN (after I messed up deleting some files). I got it down under 255 mods loaded. No errors in LOOT. Disabled all sexlab enabled mods. So I don't see why it should be crashing.

 

I can load the game up fine, disable ENB before starting new game just to make sure. Start new game, loads, for a few seconds I can see the torch on the wall in alternative start, then it crashes.

I saw someone apparently fixed theirs by deleting the number of animations they had. And I'm near the same amount I think yet I don't know what to do.

 

8616 animations for 49 mods successfully included (character)

4728 animations for 16 mods and 45 creatures successfully included.

assuming you are one of the esps probably has errors or is referencing something it shouldn't.

 

either way the only way to find out is to disable esps one by one until you find the culprit.

Hmmm I've done a shit ton for now I'll give up, I'm going to assume it may just be a script error or something from one of the sexlab mods conflicting with something else. Tomorrow I will try deleting as much as the scripts from them as possible and see if that helps it, I seem to remember a similar issue I had a long time ago.

How? Crash Fixes is a LE mod. You can't use it in SE. Chances are you'll CTD before even getting to the main menu because the game can't process that dll, or it just ignores it because it's not made for Skyrim SE.

 

You have a lot of plugins there, so unless you can disable them cleanly (Vortex, MO), you'll have a hard time isolating the culprid. You mention animations and looking at these numbers you may have a lot, or not (it really depends on the system). If you use FNIS XL it will tell you if you're above what your system can handle with a % of CTD.

Yea don't actually have crash fixes. So good there. Deleted all of sexlab animations just in case, that didn't help. So i'm going to try cleaning up my script folder to see if there is any issues in there.

You didn't check the fnis xl for the %CTD didn't you?

 

Randomly deleting files and expecting to fix your issue is not... that's not how you do it. Maybe your game will start (I really doubt it tho), but you'll have broken mods.

I'm not using the mods so wouldn't it be fine to delete the animations?

Yeah, for sure. Keep doing that with scripts and if it doesn't work just keep deleting other files, who knows if you'll solve it that way.

 

Now, what IF you were under the %CTD and you delete that for nothing?

 

Seriously, that's not how you do it. If you want to remove mods to pinpoint the issue you must do a clean remove (plugin + loose files and all). It's easy if you have vortex/mo but I'm not sure if you can do the same in nmm/manual as easily.
