Just Don't Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 I think that feature was removed in MO2 because now it needs to be open while playing to do its magic (aka using the virtual file system to inject mods data into the game). So you can't, at least I don't see the setting to do it like in the classic MO.
ChrisHPZ Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 The short answer is you don't close MO2 on game launch. Why would you want to do this anyway?
lans139 Posted January 1, 2020 Author Posted January 1, 2020 Sometimes I use video recorder and some programs such as Photoshop 3d Max so sometimes opening Mod organizer annoys me :\ Â
ChrisHPZ Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 What do these other programs have to do with Mod Organizer?
isanae Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 Hi, MO2 dev here. There is no option to close the window after launching an executable. You can add a shortcut on your desktop or the start menu by clicking the "Shortcut" button below the "Run" button. Launching the program through these shortcuts will only display a minimal lock window. We also released 2.2.2 a few days ago, which comes with a new lock overlay that replaces the old dialog, which means you can now minimize the main window.

But does MO2 have to stay on during gameplay or not? I can tab out during the game and close it with the Task Manager, and don't see any difference in gameplay, but if there's some background magic that requires MO2 to stay open I'd like to know that.
