LuxuriaFantasia - Beyond Heresy

This mod is a version of my Beyond Heresy mod meant to be used with the LuxuriaFantasia mod. It adds alternate religious options primarily centered around worship of Lilith, with variant versions of the main religions retooled into female-centric versions of themselves. It also includes a few other religion-themed aspects, including additional powers for the play of Angelic/Divine blooded characters. More information can be found here until I copy it over:

Version 1.0 - Initial Port. Confirmed that it won't crash your game immediately, but bugs and errors may persist.

If we have both DWR and LF installed, do we need both versions of Beyond Heresy as well? Or just one or the other?

This mod still appears to use the old traits "dwf_angel", "dwf_demon", etc not the new Luxuria Fantasia traits "lf_angel", "lf_demon", etc. So any character created by LF won't be given any of the powers this mod would offer to that race.

Currently causes an issue with lesbocracy as both mods overwrite succession_laws.txt

Yeah I saw that when I was poking around my mods today.  Can someone recommend the best way to post patches?

@lockeslylcrit Oh I meant more if there was a process. :)  I'll here is my edited version of the mod for consideration.

Working on a succession_laws.txt that would accommodate both, but I don't have a lot of experience modding Ck2. From what I can tell however Lesbocracy makes much more extensive changes, so hopefully it's as simple as copying what this mod adds into that file and removing the other.

The fix isn't difficult, you would just need to merge the two files (at least, that's the easiest fix). I might see about doing a compatibility patch that does just that, when I get the time to do some other updates this weekend.

Zero issues!  I hope this is helpful.  Also glad to test new releases.  Your mod is pretty important in my play-throughs along with LF itself.

I thought that would be it, I had a crack at it but I think I fucked up some formatting, I'll wait for the professionals to do it

I think I managed that (and cleaned up the duplicate succession laws that were showing up, I don't really know why the mod includes a bunch of duplicate succession laws if it overwrites succesion_laws.txt anyway, but I'm no modder so maybe there's something I'm missing there), but I'm still looking into some other issues. I don't actually know if Beyond Heresy is causing them or something else, so take my progress with a grain of salt.

Well I made some personal modification to let both christianity heresy use new crusade system, papacy succession laws and kingdom religion title. But there still several problems, eapecially without excommunicating the new crusade is easily to failed facing enemy like catholic and sunni......

Interesting, what files do you need to fiddle with for new Crusades? I was really disappointed when the Lilithanist pope called for a Crusade and it was the boring vanilla crusade.

Would I be right in assuming the only thing preventing full compatibility with the current version of DWR is the fact neither "demon_kin" nor "angel_kin" are targetted by anything in this mod?

This mod uses LF's traits, not scripted triggers, so demon_kin and angel_kin aren't going to be able to use most of the stuff.

Actually, demon_kin and angel_kin are established as traits in dw_race_traits.txt, so my question is still valid.

Yes, and I'm saying that LFBH calls on lf_angel and lf_demon, not is_demon/is_angel or demon_kin/angel_kin

And all I was asking was whether editing demon_kin/angel_kin into the list of targeted traits would be enough to get full compatibility with DWR.

In fact it is a monotonous job, cb_types, religions, HFP_crusade_events, add lilith title or lilith religion in every new crusade event. I also made lilith pope a kingdom level title.

Yeah, I managed to stumble around into it, and it mostly works but is a little weird as I can never seem to change targets, and the Pope's choice of targets is sometimes questionable. Also the artifact rewards still say they were rewarded by the Catholic pope. Still, it was fun to claim the majority of England for the Lilithanists when the Lilith-Pope finally chose a sensible target for the 3rd Crusade, and the gold/piety rewards are just as insane as the HF Catholic crusades.

 

My Crusades were quite successful though, as by the time they were being called I had formed the HRE as a Lilithanist (modded this possibility in, if Fraticelli can do it then I say Lilithanist should too), and I started at the Charlemange start date and had managed to get a huge empire by the time of the crusades kicking off. I got pretty lucky when my plan to start as the Queen of Austrasia and conquer Germany and Italy got sidetracked when a faction in West Francia overthrew their ruler and put me on the throne for whatever reason, then shortly after I got the Lilith heresy event to fire while still on my first ruler. With all of France properly Lilithanist, it was a simple matter to Holy War my way through Italy and all the way to Rome to put the Lilithanist pope where she belonged.
