What does "Extra Points" to relationship modifier mean?

As the title asks, in Settings -> Sex Settings -> Autonomy -> Autonomy Specifics, an option exists to raise the number of points NPC to NPC and Player to NPC pairs need to form a sex pair. I'm somewhat confused by what this means as "points" is vaguely defined. I'm aiming to make sex pairs stricter in terms of who can form a pair, as in, only sims with a high romance value or a very high friendship value can form a pair.

Well I'm not positive but since those default numbers are low I'm thinking they are set initially to be less strict in forming sex pairs.

And I have them set at defaults and even total strangers ask my sim for sex unless another sim beats them to it, lol.

 

Some setting in this area, when set to lower numbers like random sex frequency and cooldowns lower is more frequent auto sex.

 

But others, like romantic chance, travel chance, solo chance, etc., the higher numbers are more frequent for each type.

 

Other WW settings in Relationships can help maybe with what you want, like the staying faithful switch for romantic couples.

Probably some in other areas too you may have to hunt down.

 

So I'd try setting those numbers higher and test it out in game.

Might be a delay in seeing any results so I usually save game and exit after changes and then re-start.
