Anyone? Should I post this as a new question? Almost feels like the ears are getting extra glow like a cats eye being lit up by light as in dark areas the issue is not as bad. Like I said, living with this is much easier than horrible skin tone mismatches.

This is difficult to troubleshoot as it is impossible for us to know what replacer mods you may be running.  If the "glow" or color is different than the rest of the face it is possible you have a different glossiness setting in your ear.nif file than the head.nif

You can use nifscope to check this.

HGECBody with BBB 1.12

Body Seam Reducer (edit)

MBP/XEo using the links from LL and the 2048 Textures found on here  http://www.loverslab.com/topic/1447-pyffied-mesh-and-high-rez-oily-texture-for-mbpxeo/

that is pretty much all I have installed for the races in the game. It only is very obvious when a light source shines on the ear, which happens a lot in this game apparently ;)  and not all races have it only some and as I mentioned it is more cosmetic, does not affect the stability. I'll keep experimenting. One step at a time gregahit, I'm getting to know wrye bash and building installer packages, would be a complete 1st timer with nifscope.

Ok,

Try dropping these two files into:

Oblivion\Data\meshes\characters\imperial\

and see if you get anything different.  No need to start a new game or anything like that, just load your existing saved game.

DL:  imperial ears.7z

NOTE:  Make a backup of the two files that are in that folder FIRST before dumping these in and overwriting them in case you don't like something!!!!

Did not work and uhm there were no files to overwrite, either way nada. So I suppose something else is a bit muddled up somewhere, I checked the MBP/XEO resources on here, 2.1 and the BAIN version as well and they are not contained within. I could start again from scratch but feel for this it ain't worth it. Has to do with light though, I have a screenie where one side appears normal and the other like a glow due to being hit with light. Happened due to 1bFaceGenTexturing=0 but yeah, mismatched bodies are even worse. Thank you for the support given.
