Some files cannot be extracted

Some animations I download and go to open them and put them in my mods folder, but then the file says it cannot be extracted. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

In case you haven't found an answer yet.

 

Some file types need another extractor program to unpack.

 

WinRAR

7-Zip

IZArc

 

The three I've been using for years.

RAR files are the ones most have problems extracting.
