Schlongs of Skyrim Saving issue (CBBE, SoS, Clothing slot issue)

Okay, so, I've been experiencing an issue similar to this one: 

tldr, trying to equip outfits with both an upper and lower section, such as Asker's Assassin, causes the lower half to be hidden when the upper half is equipped. Both are still technically equipped, but the bottom half becomes invisible.
I use both DD and SoS but have determined that SoS is probably the culprit because using the reinstall feature seems to make the outfit show properly for a brief moment... Until I change outfit. I don't use a player schlong although I have ERF Highpoly installed.

The thread I linked suggests marking outfits as Revealing to fix the issue with the slots competing, but SoS refuses to save any changes I make in this regard. I tick the box, close the menu, nothing has happened. When I reopen the menu, the box has unticked itself. 
So what I'm wondering is, is there a file I can manually edit anywhere? Does anybody have experience fixing the outfit bug that might offer insight here?

The sos refusing to save the pc revealing setting I don't know what is the cause I started having that problem a while back but before finding a fix the ssd died so I assumed the problem may have been just corrupt files wish I knew what is the answer to that though.

What can help is having a schlong equipped when testing this, so if you don't want to have one on your character this mod makes it possible for the sos functions to still work but there is no visible or functional armor and sos will still treat it the same so it may fix the non functioning revealing settings...

Well! I hadn't thought of that. I tried using a female schlong and it saved the Revealing state! Hooray! 

Unfortunately that didn't fix my issue with disappearing clothing...

I d/l the ansker assasin mod and this has no conflict with sos, bottom is slot 49 in both mesh and esp and it has no extra visible slots used in armor addon, top is slot 32 with no conflict to bottom armor or armor addon,  boots and gloves are standard slots (SOS is default 52) so the problem must be with dd or with another armor equipment you have on.

DD has some setting that needs to be changed when this problem comes up but I don't use it and don't know what is the name should be in the mcm of that mod where you can select what is hidden or visible and this seems the most likely source of this problem.

It WORKED! Thank you sosososo much :3 I must have been getting weird false positives from SoS
