Cannot start sims 4

Game will load up to selecting household. It goes through loading sequence then goes back to Origin game select page completely removing sims 4. The game worked OK 2 days ago on Wednesday but would not work yesterday. No upgrades had been done. I have since uploaded the latest version of wicked whims mod but has not made any difference. Sims 4 works ok when all mods disabled. Any suggestions please.

 

I have found that a corrupt mod has caused the problem. I just need to find it now. Thanks for help.

Did you delete the localthumbcache.package in your Sims 4 folder? It will renew itself

I'm having the same issue. Also deleting localthumbcache.package  and all the other cache files/folders didn't resolve the problem.

 

Edit: I found out it was  an outdated version of Nisa’s Wicked Perversions to cause the problem. However even with the latest version of that mod the problem still persisted so i have had to remove it completely. Now everything seems to work fine.

I'm having the same problem! It goes through the loading screen, but then when it goes to show my lot and my sims, the sims screen dissapears taking me back to the Origin Page. I've now removed the cache file and deleted Nisa's Wicked Perversions so I'll see if this works. 

 

If anyone else finds any other corrupt files, please share with us. It's a bummer not being able to play University when I just got it!

Probably gonna take a bit more time to shake all the bugs out because it sounds like there are lots of them yet.

And the EP itself just came out so I'd expect a few more even.

The only mod that isn't working for me since the update is Nisas WP. I have of course downloaded and reinstalled the mod but to no avail. I have installed each mod separately and then played the game after each mod I have installed to see which one was making my game crash. Nisas WP does allow me to CAS until I enter live mode then the game just automatically shuts off. When I remove Nisas WP folder from my mods folder the game allows me to play in live mode. Is anyone else having this issue? if so have you managed to fix? I will keep an eye open for any updates/bug fixes.
