ShenGo Posted November 7, 2019 Posted November 7, 2019 I apologize if this has been asked before, but this is driving me nuts (especially since I FOUND how to do this once, but at the time, I didn't want to go to all that trouble, and now that I might, I can't find it ANYWHERE). I'm using Book of UUNP. I want to remove the modded armor from ALL NPCs (or at least females), but all I can find now is tutorials on how to ADD items to the leveled list. Nothing on how to remove items without breaking anything. I read somewhere that deleting the lists from the mod is fine if you start a new game, but that's completely wrong. Even starting a new game results in naked NPCs surrounding me on the carriages, including Ralof himself. Can anyone tell me how to stop NPCs spawning with this? I use PCEAr (PC Exclusive Armor Paths) 2.0, so its pretty important to me for female NPCs to NOT spawn using a body that's supposed to be unique to my PC, and if they spawn with modded items, that defeats the purpose of PCEAr. Right now, it feels like I'll have to COMPLETELY remake the esp, but it seems like just editing the existing one not to spawn in the 'wild' would be much faster than to completely remake all armor addons, armors, recipes, everything. Does anyone have a tutorial for how to safely remove items from leveled lists?? Edit: I use a mod that makes most factions (bandits, forsworn, etc) male. That's fine for SOME NPCs, but this mod also effects named NPCs (Jon Battleborn, Ulfberth War-Bear, and Uthgerd the Unbroken for example), all the prisoner NPCs in Helgen, everyone. Unless I could find a mod that replaced ALL NPCs with males, including named ones (which I think exists to change all to female, but not the other way around), there's no way to fix this without changing the Book of UUNP esp.

Open the Book of UUNP esp in TESEdit, open the "Leveled Item" branch, delete anything that shows a color (because it is modifying existing records). Do the same for the "Outfit" branch. Done.

Here's the quote: "I read somewhere that deleting the lists from the mod is fine if you start a new game, but that's completely wrong. Edit: Interesting, no naked NPCs this time, at least in a new game (so far). Maybe the last person who said to delete them didn't include the step to remove the outfits edits as well. Time will tell for sure though, lol. Thanks for the help, if naked NPCs start popping up in this playthrough, I'll be back, lol.

There weren't any naked prisoners, but now that I'm out of Helgen, I'm seeing plenty of naked NPCs, and console commands don't fix them.
ShenGo Posted November 8, 2019 Author Posted November 8, 2019 Still need help with this... I'm seeing naked (or shoeless) NPCs all over the place, and whenever I start a test game by entering coc qasmoke from the main menu, 50% of the time, the Nord it sets me up with is ALSO naked. I've reverted to the unedited esp again, to fix the nakedness, but I still need to remove these from leveled lists.

Post your load order. The only way this is happening is if you also have something else modifying those same records. In fact you seem to have a lot of things messing with those records in non-complimentary ways. Maybe you could try removing mods that are duplicating such effects. Managing leveled lists and outfits isn't particularly complicated. Put your load order into TESEdit, look up the outfits and records and see what is modifying what, and what the expected end result will be. Bashed or Merged patches can help to sort this out, but it sounds like you've just got too much in there working unmanaged.

When I removed the leveled lists the first time, a few months back, I tried it in a game with nothing else installed. That was how I was able to narrow the culprit down to Book of UUNP. I tried that this time (with outfits removed as well), and didn't see any issues (though I've only had time to test it out for about 20 mins. :/). I've gone through my other installed armor mods (only about 3 or 4) and discovered aMidianBorn Content Addon (which I'm only using because 'K2 HDT Boots - AMB Variants' calls for it) is the only other mod I use that modifies leveled items. I removed leveled lists from it too, and will now test a game with just PCEAr, Book of UUNP, and aMidianBorn installed.
