sissylover19 Posted October 21, 2019 Posted October 21, 2019 So downloaded cc for literal hours and got this game failed to load error I kind of don't want to do my mods again(I already have to wait 15-30 minutes for the game to launch) is it bad to continue playing with that error? My game seem to save and play fine after the initial load (even tough the game reccomends me to restart) so how bad is this? Also if this is game breaking what type of mod has the likeliest change of giving said error?
Guest Posted October 21, 2019 Posted October 21, 2019 U probably download CC for the SIMS 2/3 or other things with bug. I remember that smbd made mod to find stuff with error.

Downloading a ton of CC and installing them all at once is a bad idea and prone to causing problems, especially with how cranky the game is. Start with installing just the main mod/s you must have. Wicked Whims, Basemental Drugs, and MCCC(if used), and test them out real good before adding any more. Create a new folder for each one, as listed above, (all the WW animations can be placed into the WW folder. Makeup, Hair, Clothing, Body Details, Skins, etc., are usually OK, but make sure as mentioned above not to use any TS2/3 stuff. Make folders for each category to make it easier to find things and stay organized. Make a new folder inside your Mods folder called New; this is where you install new mods later, one or 2 at a time and retest in game again. Later on you can move these out to another folder with proper name to Identify it/them. If/when a problem occurs you should be able to find it easier.
