Are MFG issues SSE specific?

In SSE only, I notice that the expressions on my character's face gets stuck and needs to be cleared manually with a console command (player.mfg reset).

SL Triggers can help with SL scenes, but for mods like "Simple Actions" for the sleep animation, my character's eyes often stay closed even after getting out of the sleep animation.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a fix?

How does opparco mfg or MFG Fix address the problem? I use MFG Fix and that just enables commands again (if I wasn't using that mod already, I wouldn't be able to do player.mfg reset)

Does the blink fix also fix expressions in general?

You use all four?? Aren't you only supposed to use one of each?

This SKSE blink fix mod also looks like it hasn't been updated for the latest versions of Skyrim.

Will have to test, but I'm guessing the blink mods work for the closed eye issue from sleeping since it will force a blink animation. Will have to see if it also fixes other expressions.

Edit: I tested with everything except for the SKSE blink fix mod (since it's outdated). The ESP blink fix mod "fixes" the eyes staying closed from sleeping since it forces the eyes to blink. But this actually also forces the eyes open while still sleeping...

As for SL animations that cause the expression to freeze, these mods don't fix it. The SL expression freeze issue unexpectedly also stops the player character from blinking until the command "player.mfg reset" is applied.

@Ashal Is this an SL Framework bug?

I was thinking the stuck MFGs were from SSE since it affected sleeping animations from the "Simple Actions" mod. But SL animation expression freezes stop the player blink mods from working.

Since opparco mfg and Mfg fix do the same thing. I always read you only pick one to use. And people normally use Mfg Fix since it is compatible with More Informative Console.

I read the same thing as you, I use it all and many more things they say do not work together yet still work ...

I recall noticing this problem a looooong time ago, but i dont know what fixed it in my game.
As far as any possibly related fixes go, i use only Mfg Fix and SSE Engine Fixes (for the lipsync fix, and of course all the other stuff).

In case of expressions getting stuck after SL animations, maybe that is somehow related to a bug in the game itself.
When SexLab tries to apply the "Angry" expression, the game may refuse with index out of range error, because of a fucked up condition check in the game code.
Maybe this can disrupt some SexLab code that directly follows? - maybe not, i dont know, i didn't looked into it.
In any case, i recommend going through all the SexLab expressions, and make sure none if them is using the Angry expression (maybe replace it with Disgusted).

It could also be that some of the fixes in SSE Engine Fixes fixed it for me indirectly, so i recommend to try and see what happens (unless you are already using SSEEF).

I'm already using Mfg Fix and SSE Engine Fixes.

Only thing I can think of is I imported my LE export file into SE as a base before re-exporting. Not sure if that would cause any problems.

Encountered a similar issue when using SexLab before. It might may as well have been a game bug, but in my case it didn't happen only until after SexLab was installed in my save.

Also using Mfg fix and SSE Engine Fixes.
