Zquad1 Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 How Can I create my own main menu re-placer for Skyrim using my own photos, I am pretty sure I would have to use the Creation Kit, but I have searched high & low to find a "How To" & I have not found even one thread or video about how to make one from scratch. Please can anyone help??
Veta Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 1.Download any main menu re-placer, take the folder meshes/interface and add it too your skyrim data folder . 2.now you have to make your wallpaper into a dds file consult my second post here to get programs that open dds files. 3.Once you have made the dds file rename it to MAINMENUWALLPAPER and add it to textures/interface/objects if the folders dont exist make them . If you didnt completely understand what i said , use a main menu replacer mod and see their file structure .
Zquad1 Posted January 17, 2013 Author Posted January 17, 2013 OMG!!! Thank you sooo much!! I have a question, I have a 16x9 widescreen Monitor, & my image is also 1600x900 but when I load the game up the image is zoomed in how can I make the image fit my game screen? BTW I am using Paint.NET Here are the pics the first one is the Original, The second is in game.
b3lisario Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 I use the attached image as a template. The image is 2048x2048. The white area is 1920x1080, which has the same proportion as your 1600x900 screenshot (1920 / 1080 = 1600 / 900). So paste your image and scale it to fit the white area, and the save the full image as mainmenuwallpaper.dds
