I opted for the “write it down manually and hope I don’t miss anything” method. I have been having some issues lately. First is saving. It takes like 10 seconds to save, both with quicksave and manual. The other is loading into the game. It loads for minutes, then it either loads inn, or crashed. Kind of 50/50. one other slight issue. last time the game actually loaded, the game menu open after any animations was completed. If you need any more information, then let me know! Thank you! How large are your save files?

That's considerably larger than it should be. That game is likely toast, although there are things you can try. But before that, make sure you read this: in order to prevent recurrence of this issue with a new game. Here are a couple of tools that might help salvage your saved game. Easiest is: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/85443 It's a simple SKSE plug in and will likely be more help in preventing this in the future. The real deal for you will be ReSaver which is part of Fallrim Tools: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/76776 This will let you clean up your saved games which MIGHT allow you to clean things up. This is best done by going back to the last save that you have that is under 30 MB (less is more here). Clean it with ReSaver and pick your game up from there. Honestly though I have to say that in your situation I'd just start over and keep a watch out for recurrence of the bloat.

When i read it back, i see why it got confusing. when i wrote 173k, i ment 173k kb. I should have made that more clear. Fixing the save seemed like quite alot of work. the save was kinda fresh anyway, so i agree that starting over might be the best thing. thank you for your help!
