Skyrim Crashes In Exterior After Updating Mods

Hi.

So Skyrim was working, fine then I updated these mods:

Epic Gate of Whiterun
Enhanced Ore Veins

Moss Rocks
Better Dynamic Snow
Unofficial Material Fix - High Poly Project patch
Tactical Valtheim
Fores New Idles
RaceMenu
CBBE
Guard Dialogue Overhaul
Bijin 2019 Alternate Frea and Iona
Backshields
Sovereign's Slayer Armor (with CBBE patch)
Quick Light

 

And now the game will CTD when I load an exterior cell save. Loading an interior cell save works fine but then going to an exterior one will cause a CTD.

I tried disabling HD LODs Textures SE in Mod Organizer and playing but still got a CDT, then I tried disabling Tactical Valtheim, that didn't work either, then I disabled the DynDOLOD.esm and the .esp and loaded my interior save. I reset the Backshields mod like the mod page said to do (I also did this on the other 2 tries) and went to an exterior cell, somehow it worked, loading fine with no CTD. I have no idea what the cause is and it would be great if someone already knows the solution so I don't have to spend too much time trying to figure this out and can get back to playing.

Have you tried starting a new game to make sure the exteriors work then?

 

(As a rule, don't update this many mods at once.  Makes finding the issue extremely challenging.)

Starting a new games doesn't work either. It still crashes once I leave the jail cell of Alternate Start.
And I do know that rule, I just keep ignoring it for some reason...

What mod manager are you using?  If it is MO/MO2, there is a (kinda) quick way to find the issue.  Otherwise...

I'm using MO2.

But I reinstalled the old versions of the updated mods and it's working now. I'm going to try updating them again, this time following that rule you spoke of. I'll get back to you with the result.

More detail on this. Moss Rocks somehow seems to be conflicting with DynDOLOD. So I followed the proper update procedure for DynDOLOD and at the point where you make a save without the DynDOLOD plugins I installed the Moss Rocks update then proceed to finish updating DynDOLOD. Everything works now. I hope you understand this.

Glad you figured it.  Trying to track that down without MO would've been really challenging.
