Question about sweat function

I asked this on the WickedWhims thread but figured I'd put it here, as well.

Has anyone else had issues with sweat not showing up on Sims since the last update?

I've been experimenting and I can't seem to get it to show up on anyone. I thought it was initially because my sims were fit and it had been stated in the past that the better shape your sims are in, the less they'll sweat.

But I made an out-of-shape sim, used the treadmill, and while the lower icon kept changing like sweat was being applied, it wasn't visible on the sim.

I tried the console command to apply sweat and the sim got the sweaty buff, but it wasn't visible. I removed the custom skintone, applied it again, and it still didn't show (and sweat had been showing previously WITH the custom skintone).

So, anyone else having issues with sweat with WW 145e?

Also, can anyone clarify how sweat works when it comes to the fitness of the sim? Seems even fit sims should have some visible sweat.

Are you using a cc skin or skin overlay? it doesn't show on some....

I was. Sweat showed up fine on it for some time. It only recently stopped showing.

I also tried without the custom content applied. Sweat still did not show up.

Hmmm....mine's working ok...that's weird.

That's helpful, though. Because that would seem to indicate it's not something with WW.

When I have a chance I'm going to try a new save game, as well as more experiments with the skin overlays/base skin.

Hey @procian, I figured out the issue.

It's not related to custom skins, but lighting. Somehow my lighting settings got bumped to low, so sweat wasn't showing up. When I set it to high, sweat now appears.

Well done :)

That never occurred to me.....good thinking.
