Trouble with Lag

Hi all,

 

I have been experiencing very annoying lag lately. When a sim is going upstairs to sleep, I cancel the action, but he literally gets under the sheets before cancelling the action. Another example is the sim is going to the toilet but even though I cancel, he still walks and sits on the toilet before realizing he needed to cancel. 

 

Another form of lag is where the sims literally just stand still not doing anything for several sim hours. Sometimes just resetting the sim works but it gets really annoying. 

 

Any tips would be appreciate!

This is pretty much normal from what I've seen.

Do you have any games, TV's, or Computers in your house?

Things that have a higher 'fun' will attract them more if/when their needs are full.

As long as you don't have any mods like  disable autonomous watch TV, etc.

I took out extreme violence mod. I think it has improved the gameplay a bit.

Sims are very slow to cancel tasks in the interaction queue.  This is normal.

 

The more Sims you have on the lot, the longer it takes for Sims to figure out something to do aside from standing there like a mannequin.  A fast computer helps as well as not overdoing it on script mods.  I have lots of CAS mods, a moderate amount of gameplay mods, but just a handful of script mods.  I don't add script mods unless I really need them.
