HELP! Zaz animation testing tags everyone as male!

Hey!

I've installed Zaz animation pack 8.0 SE and registered it to Sexlab through the MCM, however, every animation is blocked in testing because my character (AND FOLLOWER!) is tagged as male.

Very odd considering Sexlab is configured so that I'm female. At first I thought it's because I'm a female Orc and my follower is a vampire. I figured they'd be different somehow, but the problem persists on a new save with a female redguard.

Is this only with animation testing? Do I not need to worry about this?

I wondered which mod was doing this.  I have been having the same issue.

fwiw, sometimes an animation seems to switch the gender of the player, why idk, but it does happen. I wish there was a way to lock your gender. Nothing quite so awkward (and annoying) as thinking you're entering into a hetero act and discovering that a given animation has decided you're a female when you're a male or visa versa.

I've resorted to checking my gender in SexLab (animation settings) or Eager NPCs (player) and fixing it (if it's been changed) before initiating anything, or in the case of Defeat related events, if it puts me in the wrong "position", I end the animation, fix my gender and either kill them all (if I can), or failing that at least dealing with the defeat as the gender I chose.

I tried creating a new player as male but still gave me the same effect.  I tried a few adjustments within the mods but Zaz will not let me change gender and all anim's give same effect to my player and NPC.  Kind of weird but I have not installed Eager NPC so I will try to give that a shot.

Just for the record, and so I'm not misleading you, neither SL animation settings or SL Eager NPCs changes "stick".  They stick only until the next time an animation comes along and switches your gender (ie, if you keep firing off the same animation and it keeps switching your gender... well maybe you shouldn't use that animation any more)

best wishes

had one more thought. In SL, there's a setting for which person comes first. you might try switching that on if off, or off if on and see if that changes anything for you. (as well of course, as switching your gender to whichever is the correct one for your player)

I installed the SL Eager NPC (which has a lot more customization's than the other MODs I installed), and it worked like a charm.  Thank you very much anjenthedog.

@crazyape13what all did you change to get this to work?

Both of these read Female in my game, yet ZaZ reports the character as male.

> checking my gender in SexLab (animation settings) or Eager NPCs (player)

Edit 1:

Besides ZaZ, I had three animation mods installed, I deregistered them using SLAL and uninstalled them. Sexlab and Eager NPCs both show the character as female. Still ZaZ testing is blocked with the player being tagged male.

Sorry, I didn't really change much, I just installed.  I will have to look but the issue can back after I installed a few other mods.  Now I can't get it to correct itself as I had before but feel pretty certain it is related to Zaz.  I tried changing SL gender to female (my character is male) and re-ran an animation but resulted in effect as before.  I am going to see what other mod I had that as a gender option and see what I come out with.  If it succeeds, I will let you know what I changed.

I tried doing some various testing but nothing seems to matter.  I don't believe the test animation is a real factor, but does seem to accurately reflect what is occurring in game.  Not sure what to change/implement because it is occurring repetitiously; I have installed various other mods, gender bender being one (this mod only affects female player characters so did not benefit me as I have a male PC). Not sure what else to try but open for suggestions to see if there is a remediation to these actions.
