I'd really appreciate any ideas, as this is the first time I've ever seen this error. HanPL Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Don't really know what do you mean... Is OBSE not working or LoversPK plugins ? Usually extracting OBSE 20 again fix the problem.
RogueMage Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 1. Start Game and open the console. Type 'GetObseVersion'. If no error shows up OBSE is running. If it is working nothing will be displayed.  2. Check if OBSE-files are all in the Game folder, not in the data folder  3. Do you start OBSE with the correct launcher?  4. Maybe there are some obse-plugins not installed. Check them as well.
Narly_Thotep Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 Just that, I start the game up, load or save or make a new character, and after a sec it pops up a message saying "Lovers requires OBSE to run! You didn't follow the instructions did you?" Which I have never seen before. The only change I've made the last hour is re-installing MBP, MBP ++ 0.94, and x117; and I got BOSS set up and ran it. I have the GOTY Steam version of the game, but I know how this works, and tried re-extracting OBSE and it doesn't seem to have helped.

So I have no further hints here. I just had an issues with new vegas once when an autoupdate of new vegas ran in the background and nvse didn't like it. As oblivion is quite old by now, this is probably not the case here.  Googling I found this. Maybe you need the file mentioned under the second number 2:  Here is how you get OBSE working legitimately: 1) Make sure you have received the latest update, we just updated on Steam about 30 minutes ago to make our binary more compatible with OBSE. Restart Steam if you are unsure and you should get updated. If you've replaced your binary with some non-Steam version you'll want to make sure it updates and you are on the new Steam shipped version.  2) Install OBSE into your steamapps\common\oblivion directory as you normally would  2) Get this file: http://media.steampowered.com/content/obse_loader.zip, and extract the obse_loader.exe over the top of the one from the standard OBSE install in your oblivion folder.  3) Run obse_loader.exe and everything should now work (you'll get passed through the loader first, just hit play).  I've contacted the OBSE guys so we can hopefully get our revisions to obse_loader added into the official OBSE package. Until then if you would like the source for the changes for obse_loader to compile yourself email me at jmccaskey at valvesoftware.com.  Well, what more can I say? Narly_Thotep Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 Hmm, nope, thats old news, and has been incorporated into the core OBSE distribution. This is bloody bizarre. OBSE was working, I installed MBP, then it stopped working. What the hell?
RogueMage Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Just thinking: What does the obse.log0 say? There should be an entry in t. You can find it and the plugin logs in the game-dir. Â Another thing: I once got an entry that OCP or FastExit was conflicting with some stuff. Maybe you wanna take them out for testing. Just for the case.
