Bodyslide stretched/twisted legs bug

Hi there!

I've been using the Tera Monokini mod from Dianne's CBBE conversions for Oldrim (https://www.loverslab.com/topic/52828-diannes-bodyslide-conversions-cbbeuunp/) but have encountered a weird issue where if I build the BikiniBottom part of the outfit with any bodyslide preset (I'm using the latest version) I get a weird glitch where my character's legs are twisted/deformed, particularly in combat animations. This issue does not exist if I used the default UNPB or Dianne's stock CBBE conversion mesh.

I tried fiddling around with Outfitstudio etc. though I have no idea what to look for. The issue only appears when I equip the monokini bottom piece, which presumably changes the entire body mesh, which bodyslide probably messed up some bone/weight/animation things, which likely has something to do with Dianne's bodyslide files that may not be compatible with the current version of bodyslide...I am not sure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

As you can see here how one of the calves is elongated:

And when in combat the entire leg is twisted:

Try opening the mesh with Outfit Studio and re-export the bone weights in that area from the nude body you are currently using, if that doesn't fix the issue then the body mesh for that outfit is probably incompatible with your current skeleton. Your other option is to take your nude body and transfer the clothing to it with NifSkope, then run it back through Outfit Studio copying the bone weights from your nude body to the clothing, altering the clothing to fit your body where necessary.

Thanks a lot! I'm pretty new with these things and honestly I have no idea how to do these things properly...I tried Outfit Studio and am not sure what I should be doing, I don't know how bone weights work, how am I supposed to transfer it, there are only vague tutorials online teaching you how to convert UNP clothing to CBBE, which I followed but failed to do so successfully.

Any guides online that you could recommend? Thanks a lot!

My best suggestion is to start with simple things first, slowly working up to complete mesh replacements after getting the basics down. I'm still learning new things myself.

With guides and tutorials, it's hit or miss as to which ones work for you... Something you like and understand may be incomprehensible to the next person. Trial and error, until you find one that works for you. Don't forget U-Tube videos as a source.

TWT I see, was wondering if you have links to any step-by-step guides for dummies...? what I noticed is that only the bottom piece of the clothes messes up the leg meshes, it is particularly severe when the character sits down as the legs will look like a curved pile of paper, not sure if this is a bone weight issue as I'm not even sure what 'bone weight' is x.x
