Gilgalion Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 Recently, I have been unable to continue a game after saving and closing. I can start a new one, and play for as much as I like. But when I save it and exit, I can never load it back up. I have cleaned the save, cleaned the plugins, there is nothing different mod-wise. Am I missing something? Is there anything else I can do? It don’t believe it to be my load order as nothing is missing anything.

Best to save at a spot with only few NPC/Creatures if you have a lot of mods installed that add those or spawn those. You can also check how many active scripts are running on the saves you want to load. If there are too many your game will struggle to load. Are you using DFW+DFWS? Deactivate the save game modifications it offers, maybe that helps too. Maybe rising the time budget papyrus has to load scripts can help: in skyrim.ini change: [Papyrus] fUpdateBudgetMS=1.6 fExtraTaskletBudgetMS=1.6 Also if you have a lot of graphic enhancing mods installed you could install ENBoost do free up more vram. If you have modified your LO too much during a running game you might have killed you savegame now. NetImmerse Override Cleaner.exe could help to reduce the size of your skse co-save it became too large. Check if you are not over 254 plugins. Check if you have too many animations installed. Defekt/badly installed/patched mods can cause that too. create a skse.ini if you don't have one yet: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51038 if you have warpaints with 4k+ resolution you will have to rise [Display] iTintTextureResolution=2048 in your skse.ini

Nicely done.

Nicely done. Thanks! It's actually the list of all things I did wrong before ?
