mouton18 Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 As anyone who uses Cicero Female or the standalone cicera follower know, they are not compatible with shiva's hair replacer. ย The problem: The black face. ย This follower was made with RaceMenu and nifmerge. The hair headpart on the FaceGeom still has the vanilla name "Hairfemalenord04".ย ย This make it incompatible as it is with any hair replacer mod. ย I tried some work around so far. - Using NPC visual Transfer was not a success because the same issue occurs with Cicera - Deleting the NIF files from shiva's didnt work either - Copy Pasting the assets from Xedit didnt work either. The only mismatch was for the dead body cleanup.ย - When setweight to 0 it is no longer black but potatoe. - Went through CK but no luck ย Making a new head part and exporting all this would probly work, but I am no expert. ย Did anyone found a work around or made a preset that can we export properly ? thank you all. ย ย Mod needed for repro Shiva's hair replacer 2.2 LOOSEย Cicero female SEย
Fotogen Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Not sure. Like really not sure. ย But maybe: - i thing your problem is in meshes\actors\character\facegendata\facegeom\<insert mod name>\<actor id>.nif - thats actors head, Mesh. Theres also the same on "textures" side ย Maybe you could: - make a backup - press Ctrl+F4 in CK to regenerate FaceGeom stuff - copy old, original head mesh to where RaceMenu loads custom heads - start a new char, the same race as <that actor> - load head in RaceMenu - twik it in RaceMenu. Hair and stuff - then export new head mesh - then override NPCs head mesh (copy, rename) with this new head ย ย
mouton18 Posted August 29, 2019 Author Posted August 29, 2019 After importing all instance of cicero in the CK, only one facegen NIF was created, so I used this one (00000d69). Then I transfer the original from the mod into the Preset folder and imported properly in game, tweaked the hair to something that look like it since I dont have the one cicera uses, its from an oldrim hair mod. I then exported the morph, renamed it and pasted it in the cicerofemale mod into the facegeom folder. Launched the game, placed at me every instance of cicero and they all had a black face. ย ย
Fotogen Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Maybe this can help: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2463989-standalone-followers-custom-head-racemenu-keeps-reverting-to-default-head/

I created a hairline and stick it to the hair, changed it from the drop down, the preview head and full body even shown the heart on the cheeks, it updated to all four instance, I had the mod as active file and even shiva's hair loaded to make sure. exported the facegen once done. Once in game, same black face with same hair as previous screenshot, the fact nothing changed is bothering me.ย ย also shiva mentionned something on the hair pack's page that im not quite sure how to do "28 August 2019, 5:18PM You have to delete the records in the ESP and then reexport FaceGen" for someone with a similar issue on another mod.
Fotogen Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 If you open head mesh in Nifscope, how does it look? Should look weird, but atleast wireframe of the face should be sort of what you want. ย Click face and find "BSShaderTextureSet". Do all textures point to the right file? ย Start the game, not load anything, switch to QASmoke, so you have new, fresh game and then spawn NPC? ย
mouton18 Posted August 29, 2019 Author Posted August 29, 2019 The left one is the changed one from CK and the Right one is the default zipped in the cicero female mod
mouton18 Posted August 29, 2019 Author Posted August 29, 2019 I changed all patching in BSshader to the same as the original andย moved all records from CiceroFemale to FlowerGirl patch in xeditย - got black face in game with semi transparent hair, setweight to 0 and got this.ย ย Spoiler ย ย ย when disabling Shiva's hair replacer and getting the femalecicero mod without any modification to xedit nor CK. ย Spoiler ย
mouton18 Posted August 30, 2019 Author Posted August 30, 2019 cicera_1.ddscicera_1.nifcicera.npccicera_1.jslot Here's the file ive been working on all day, maybe could be use by someone mightier in terms of CK to export a new head part
GalaSeraph Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 Bump, running into the same issues with that mod combination

Lateraliss Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 Sorry to bump an older thread. but there is an easy, though time consuming fix. It seems that most custom followers that use racemenu to sculpt the face use hairfemalenord04 as their base hair in the nif file. This causes a conflict with hair replacer mods, since the hair replacer mod sees this and wants to change it to it's hair file, but the custom follower is using the same file but has a different hair file. If these custom follower modders would use a custom head part, it would solve all the problems without any issue, but many don't. So onto the fix, go into Shiva's hair replacer mod in ssedit, find HairFemaleNord04, and HairlineFemaleNord04, and delete them. Then you have to load up Shiva's Hair Replacer in CK, set it as active, and go to Nord Race female in the Actor pulldown. Here's the tedious part. Going through all the entries here to see what actors use HairFemaleNord04. Click on an entry, go to character gen parts, and see what hairstyle the actor uses. If you still want these actors to use better hairstyles than vanilla, whenever you come across an actor that is using Nord04, simply choose another hair style, and hit ok. Then you have to highlight that actor again, and hit Ctrl and F4. This will refresh the facegendata, which will prevent these actors from getting black face bug. The you have to do the same for Imperial Race female, etc. etc. remember to save the mod before you close the CK. So all the custom followers that use vanilla nord04 should now work fine without any black face bug, and you'll still be able to use Shiva's hair replacer, and none of the other npcs in vanilla will revert to vanilla hair. Now remember to look through all your patches from other mods and change all those npcs if they are using nord04 and refresh their facegendata, too. I did warn you it would be tedious. Here are all the npcs that need to change their hair and export their facegendata. ย ย

mouton18 Posted April 25, 2020 Author Posted April 25, 2020 So I was finally able to change Cicero head parts into the CK to one I made but it seems using nifmerge encrypts it to the selected value so it didnt export her face but rather the bulky thingie. maybe someone will read this topic and find a way with racemenu and exporting face but for now here the fix for people googling their problem so I made a quick fix using the character list generously provided by Lateraliss, if someone have an idea on how to flag headpart disabled onto a new esp after an overide in xedit, please pm me, this way I could make a standalone working patch for Shiva's rather than editing it manually, spoiler for the fix ย Spoiler Have both Shiva Hair replacer and Cicero Female SE installed - I used Vortex(load order shouldn't be a problem, but keep cicero last to be sure)1. Open the CreationKit -File->Data->Select Shiva Hair Replacer->Press Set as Active File2. In the objet window Filter type: HairlineFemaleNord04->Right Click Duplicate 3.Find the duplicate version Edit and rename it HairlineFemaleNord404. Notice that the Nif File still paths- Since it's a duplicate you do not need when saving to create a new form.3.Search for HairFemaleNord04, Duplicate it, Open the Copy Rename the Copy HairFemaleNord404.4.Locate the Extra Parts-Head Part at the bottom left, remove the 04Hairline by pressing the Delete button. RIght Click New, Select the HairlineFemaleNord404, press ok, Nope and yes.5. Save the ESP6. Launch xedit right click, select none, find shiva's hair replacer, double click.7.Navigate to the Head Part and select HairlineFemaleNord04 and press the delete Key, yes you are sure. Do the same for HairFemaleNord048 Exit and save. Now everyone using the FemaleNord04 will have vanilla hair and any Follower mod that had black face due to this will be fixed. If you want those character who lost shiva's hair along the way to have it back, go through every character using the FemaleNord04 hair in the CharGen and replace the hair with the 404 version we made earlier. Or use my ESL patch and load it after shiva's hair replacer, currently only touches vanilla generated character. https://gofile.io/?c=q91IdY - you don't need to export gen because we're using the same hair, we are just changing the path to override nord04Enjoy On an other note, after working so much on her she got new bodyslide, updated body with physics as well as an outfit with preset and 4k resolution, a bigger head, smaller hands, cbbe body and 4k2k texture, new skeleton node, enhanced audio from original voice actress, lip sync, clean recordsย ย Spoiler Spoiler ย FemaleNord404.7z
