Guest Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 I broke something somewhere somehow. Ok so I've been trying to trouble shoot my Sexout Tryout - Powder Gangers issue. Going through making sure everything is up to date, going through testing mods to look for conflicts. So far nothing. However, my problems got progressively worse with no answers. To recap Eddie and start of the Powder Gangers portion would RANDOMLY either never abuse the player, abuse the player but not enslave (whole sequence would play but no enslabement), or just stand there and we'd be frozen. Two days ago after re-installing NG (with the same version I already had) it changed to 100% of the time being Frozen in place. Today I go to get on, loading my save at the Powder Gangers... CTD. Ok fine maybe I broke my save... start new game. Doc. Mitchel is now frozen, I don't get the option to change character name... just frozen there. Going through I turn off mod after mod to see which one is now fucking up. Finally I turn off Sexout and Common Resources... Everything works fine after this. WTF?!?!?!?!?!
Halstrom Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 I know the feeling, sometimes you just add one new mod and all of the sudden a heap or meshes appear to go missing, you get red diamonds everywhere on vanilla stuff. I've seen effect scripts not update when a newer version of the mod is loaded, they continue running the old version of the script with the old debug messages and another NPC with the new item equipped has the debug messages of the new script of the same object. I've spent days trying to track down things that didn't make sense then found the issue disappear with a clean save
Guest Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Well for what ever reason the game started working fine again... no idea why. But my Powder Ganger problem is still very much alive... I posted on Tryout that I noticed Dawes' isn't giving the option for a BJ in order to enter "free" of charge. I looked in GECK and the option is there... but for what ever reason it's not coming up. As I pointed out there as well the last time PG's worked for me was when Vault 19 was fucked. I'm starting to wonder if my problem is as simple as Tryout hasn't been updated with all the changes to Sexout. However, this doesn't make since seeing as others have no problem with it, I'm thinking I've missed something like changing a file or adding something in somewhere. Frankly this is hands down the best portion of Tryout. Fiends I think should be changed to being a true slave: using Pillories and things that Insult/Humiliate the PC. Legion... meh it's Legion. Vault 19 could use some tweaking. NCR being a whore is kind of boring but makes since. The Ghouls (Brotherhood) I think could have been handled differently, in other words something other than just a Whore. Maybe as a sign of good faith you have to fuck the feral ghouls downstairs. You could have to breed with them to "replenish" their numbers. Better yet Jason Bright thinks you were sent as his wife but shares you with everyone, a kind of wife slave? (Maybe a project there for USER29 and Breeder.)
ChancellorKremlin Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Sometimes the "validate files" option of Steam fixes stuff like that. I don't know why, but the other day I had "one file failed to be validated and will be downloaded" and Steam made a whopping 800mb download, God knows what for.
Halstrom Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 It'd just not very stable with a lot of mods, Today I just added one animation to Pregnancy in GECK and the result was a "Load Application Error" that resulted in me having to validate files to get the game to function again.
