Schlongs Of Skyrim OUtdated

Downloaded Schlongs of Skyrim and imported it into Vortex Mod loader for Skyrim. When I go to play the game it says it's out of date and everyone appears as Exclamation signs. If you need screenshots I can go in and give Gyazo screenshots.

When skyrim updates automatically, your SKSE and mods become obsolete.  You can solve this by going back to the previous version of Skyrim that worked with SoS.  My Skyrim version is from June 2019.  it's a simple matter of replacing the .exe file.  You can obtain the older version on the Steam website.  Here is a good explanation:

 

Open steam console (steam://nav/console)

Type and press enter: download_depot 489830 489833 6411417958676685207

Old exe will be there: \Steam\steamapps\content\app_489830\depot_489833

 

Then just simply replace your Skyrim.exe with the old version.  

 

I keep the old version of both SKSE and Skyrim.exe in a folder on my desktop, in case Steam manages to sneak in an update.  If you always start skyrim in offline mode,  you can avoid the updates, and start the game from SKSE.

Quite pointless of Bethesda to update Oldrim at this point if it causes problems with mods.
