kelly Rocket Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Hi, I'm new here, just managed to install Lovers + MBP and get it working most of the time... But I have a problem. If my character is raped spontaneously by an NPC, everything seems to work correctly, but if I initiate sex through any dialogue option, whether in a normal conversation option, or even when being raped, picking the "[nods]" option, then there are only just a very few animations it will play, and half of them seem to be broken or wonky, not really sexual at all. I don't know much about modding Oblivion, as I only just got the game essentially for the purpose of playing it with MBP and Lovers. I'm still learning how to use Wrye Bash and OBMM. I gave up on BOSS and I've been ordering my mods by hand. I had been using a load order from Hongfire, but I ended up uninstalling everything and starting over just doing it by hand. Both times I've installed Lovers I've had this problem though. Not sure what the cause is. Any help would be appreciated. Grizzly UK Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 I hate to be the first to say this but your load order isn't in the correct order at all! All the official DLC's and the Unofficial Patches should be much higher (they should be the first .esp files loading right after all the .esm's) and all the Lovers mods should be much lower (pretty much after everything else but before the MBP .esp's)! Try reading the Quick Installation Guide here: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=30 Of particular note is the Sample Lovers Load Order at the bottom of the first post (inside Spoiler tags). You may also want to check out the Wrye Bash Pictorial Guide over at OblivionNexus: http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/35230 That should at least get you going with creating a Bashed Patch that you can then use to merge all those MBP .esp's into! I've never used BOSS myself so I have no idea how easy or hard it is to use, although I do know that it doesn't do well with sorting Lovers mods correctly. If you can get BOSS working it would go a long way to helping you get your load order sorted correctly, although you'd still have to manually sort all your Lovers mods into the correct places in your load order. I'm sure others here will also add their own advice and/or suggestions soon enough. Good luck and don't hesitate to post back if you still have problems.
Bashis Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 if just your animations are off/wonky, try going here http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=14441 and installing the animation packs listed in the order they are in the fourth post,do that and fix your load order with the sites example one and that should get your anims up to date and working right. if you dont mind me asking where did you get the rescources for children annuad? ive been looking for their armor/clothing rescources for a while and cant find anything.

You might also want to get wrye bash, although for a long time I didn't use it and had no problems with lovers, or any mods really. Load order is the most important thing. And you might want to try running archive invalidation to make sure your game recognises all the new meshes/textures required, which is probably the reason for limited or abnormal animations. Edit: What is "LoversVoiceSSPx117.esp" is that even translated?

You can find it over at hongfire I think. yea i saw the thread on hongfire about it, but it was a jumble of about 50 different links leading to individual outfits and such, unless anyone knows about a ready to go package somewhere that i overlooked i think ill just stick with yuravica for smaller breasted clothing items. *Huh, after stumbling around that mess of a thread for about 10 minutes i found archives of ready to made packages of all the old monstergirl plugins AND children of annuad in their original states, before all the copywritten and other bannable material was removed. Even if i decide not to use them thats still a small treasure to have downloaded in itself. Now for obvious reasons im not going to link it here, but just know, they still exist, i had lost hope for some of them.

When I put on the pheremone ring and run around and an NPC rapes my character, if there is no dialogue option, the animations work fine. But if I initiate sex through dialogue, either by interacting with someone and asking if they want to have sex, using the sleeper sex spell (Which brings up a dialogue bit asking if you want to do it or let them sleep), or even when a rapist asks if I want to do it and I select the affirmative option, I get weird animations. They end up laying next to each other, or standing together with one character at a bizzarre angle, or with one sitting in front of the other, each with one arm raised overhead, swaying back and forth like they're singing kumbaya at a campfire or something. I also have an issue where occasionally a sex encounter will just go on forever, refusing to end. When this happens I have to go back to my last save.
gregathit Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Dude, where is LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp and LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp???????? Lovers won't work without them! The things you are describing sound like you have not put lovers on manual for sex progression (it is on automatic by default) and you have to hit the weapon ready key (F by default) to initiate consensual sex. This is because you are running PK extender. If you don't like this then disable PK extender. This is one of the many reasons we don't support the Hongfire AIO! Reading the instructions on these plugins (as contained in the OP for each plugin on this site) is critical to knowing how to use them. Mixing and match plugins from one site to the other is also not recommended.

I wasn't sure if there was something wrong or just something I didn't know about how to use it

Your load order for the Unofficial Patches is still a little off, also, which version of the Unofficial Patches are you using? When (or if) you get to that point. remember this: When using a Bashed Patch, NEVER merge any Lovers with PK esp/esm files with the exception of the sexual organs esp(s) into it. When rebuilding your bashed patch, first disable all Lovers with PK plugins.
3m4041 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Learning to use wrye bash, or even just installing it can seem a little overwhelming, but it's well worth the effort. Read the instructions, watch the tutorials, etc. You can still set your load order manually. Getting everything working faster with the help of wrye's tools. Weather you need a bash patch or not depends on your game usage. A bad bash patch doesn't fix anything.
