So i Didnt notice at first since i usually play in first person, but this weird purple glow has been on my char for the last several hours and doenst seem to go away. I think its the soul trap effect? it matches the one from when i Kill with my soul trap sword, but i'm not100% sure. anybody know what it is and how to get rid of it?

If you use the unofficial patches, there should be a remove unwanted visual effects shrine in the temple of kynareth in whiterun, try and see if that works. else you could try to find the code for that specific visual effect and remove it with console commands. No idea what the code is though, and i can't remember how to find them.

I have already tried the shrine in the temple, it didnt work, but I thank you for the suggestion.

its quite tricky, how to find the code for an effect you cannot identify

Have you looked at the 'active effects' tab in the magic menu?

You could also try loading an earlier save to see if the effect is still there.

Yeah, i looked there, nothing of note.

its on most of the save I have (I only keep ~30 on hand at a time). Sadly i save a lot and didnt notice until long after it was applied,

thanks though

Just wanted to post here for anybody who stumbles on this with teh same issue: The problem was an interaction between the magic effects of AGO and auto-unequip arrows. Its an effect applied to Arrows when using the AGO rings, but since i didnt have arrows equipped (thanks to AUA), it just kinda left a weird floating effect. Its fixed
