Sillius_Maximus Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 So I have been using windows 10 since it was handed out free /first released. Last month sometime. Im not exactly sure what I did, or if i did?... the double blue arrows (that point towards each other) started appearing on my files. I understand it has something to do with NTFS compression, but I also hear "its a standard feature" Im thinking sure it is... ive had windows 10 forever.... and it JUST NOW appears? Is there some universal or system wide setting I might have changed?
Reginald_001 Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Check this article: https://superuser.com/questions/1001970/two-blue-arrows-at-top-right-of-icons Basically you had it right. It's NTFS compression and it can turn on automatically for files, should the need arise (e.g. your disk is becoming full).

I actually followed down to that screen, it is off(default). I use a SSD, but the oem program Apparently, the compressing feature was causing 2-3 of my mods to not work correct.. I would install it, showed as activated.. Head to the MCM menu and it says the .esm is missing. after uncompressing it, problem solved.
