MrBlazzar Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Hey I was wondering if anyone could convert this armor: http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/29557 to skyrim? Preferably the CBBE body but really any body will do. I would do it but I don't have the programs nor the skills to do it unfortunately.

Bullshit (= Here's what you do: 1) go to autodesk.com 2) register as a student or unemployed 3) pick a version of 3dsmax (I use 2012 64bit) 4) get your free individual license to dl and use it 4a) install it and be prepared for frequent crashes and wierd problems. it's an industry standard' date=' but the interface methodology is like 10 yrs old and it's not as stable as it should be. and then you 1) cheggit Nightasy 3dsmax Tutorials 2) Learn it, love it, live it. 3) ??? 4) Profit! Seriously, The autodesk tutes are good for basics (interface, specific tools, etc), the 3dsmax help facility is top fucking notch and Nightasy's tutes give you enough info to do what you need to do to make this work. Obviously there are other things you'll have to deal with to get the oblivion armor to skyrim, but you can either google it or search this (or nexus) forums. Lastly, if you do wind up working on it, I would love to see that armor for ADEC Body which is now Tender BBP animation compatible. ADEC pics ADEC + TBBP

Of course if someone who already knows can still do it if they wish.
Monsto Brukes Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Look at it like this: if you have sunday afternoon free, you can do all that and be in a position to make those changes the next day and post yr own mod. And then next time . . . it's being given a fish vs learning to fish.
D_ManXX2 Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 One question about 3dmax. Did you guys ever think about what would happen if 3dmax was going to call the school you applied and then find out your no student at all ?? i Think they then have strong case of forcing you fork out 3000 dollars and even fine you for committing fraud. That is way they forcing you to submit so many identity info. If 3dmax was going to persue this then allot of people will be pretty fucked.. I think i'l just stick with free blender.
Creamlord666 Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Not to mention that the armor in the image is a skimpy version of the Blades armor from Oblivion...so just pick a skimpy armor replacer for CBBE and use the Skyrim Blades armor..ka-ching!

Maybe I should get a copy right now, ATM I am unemployed. Who knows how long that will last.

I wouldn't be worried about it. They don't likely have the time or resources to run background checks on the thousands of student copies downloaded each day. Also, the purpose of allowing for free Autodesk software is not to help students, but rather boost its position as an industry standard by equipping legions of fresh graduates with Autodesk preferences. I assume the real money is in selling corporate licenses, not in tracking down unemployed Skyrim modders.
Monsto Brukes Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 I signed up as unemployed. Autodesk will make more by giving away a free copy to hobbyists or people learning that may wind up working at a company that's willing to buy 3dsmax learning dvds, enduser licenses and seats at seminar than chasing out people that are "fraudulently" registered. Autodesk is the only major modelling software company that does this and i'll be it has a lot to do with why Max remains the 'industry standard' when it's so outdated.
Droxillyyn Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 I've been on four different sign-up pages on the Autodesk site, but I am unable to find the unemployed option. Have I missed something incredibly obvious?
