Alright. As mentioned I'm going to be focused on uploading some updates of sims going forwards because at this point I've got a fair number that I've made a number of changes to that need the update. First up though is an updated version of the Shared CC. 

 

I've added a couple of new skin details and accessory edits I use here (I've also put together alternate slots for a bunch of the nude details I use, but I've decided I'll include them with sims if I actually specifically end up using them) but most importantly, due to several people having had issues with thsi and me often forgetting to include them, I threw in all the custom CAS presets I have in there, feel free to remove these as makes sense for you, most of my sims don't use any of them, though there are some (mostly select male sims and mostly in the Alto family) who do use them. 

 

Along with the updates to sims going forwards, many of which are goign to be the AEP/pornstar sims I've decided to address something there which has been low-key nagging me for a little while. I wrote about this earlier in a post I made in antoher thread, so I'll just quote most of that here.

it's the fact that I've kind of gone with "real" names for all my AEP sims so far and since I've been slightly updating a lot of them and a reupload has to come sooner or later, I'm thinking I'm going to go ahead and change most of their names somewhat.
Mostly this would be limited to either just changing their last name or the last name of their family member sims and making a small note in the sim decription (in my collection and for the household in the library) of what their real first and last name is.

A couple of relatively easy ones here, "Alexis Vinter" already sounds like a performer name so I'm keeping that (I also already have a WIP version of her dad in my library, and he's called "Pearson", so the work is mostly done here already). I'm also keeping Thalia as "Thalia Jordan", because I like the sound of it for her, so it'd be easier to just change her family members' last name (because her family is kind of meant to be upper middle-class liberal-ish I'm thinking some kind of hyphenated combo here, currently rolled up "Vance-Franklin"). With Tracy I'm going the opposite route, I'm keeping the last names as is for her family, but changing her (performer) last name.

Especially the ones with family members should have a note, as mentioned, of what their real first and last name is. With Alexis I'm thinking to go simple in that she only simplified it from "Alexandra", Tracy I'm thinking has a totally different real name*. With Thalia (left) I'm actually kind of thinking that she's just using her real first name and the story I had in mind for the pictures was kind of based around the idea of Alexis and Tracy calling her out on this. 

 

 

*Her dad's still named Muller, but I'm going to change her in game name to Kazumi, as in she uses her mother's maiden name (I forgot to change her last name to her new husband's also in the upload from December/January) as her performer name.

LINNIE AND CARA + THEIR FAMILY HAVE BEEN UPDATED AND REUPLOADED

 

Alright, I've updated these recently, but first of all I made some changes that I thought I may as well throw into a quick reupload that I was going to have to make anyway because it came up that I had made a mistake in the earlier archive and that I threw in an older version of the modified hat I had made for Linnie, so I would have to fix that. But that's not the only change.

 

First of all some recent experience with creating customized hair accessories led me to the conclusion that I may as well make custom additional hair swatches for my sims that have ombre highlights or streaked hair rather than rely on accessories. So first of all Linnie now just has a custom hair color swatch which corresponds to her blond and dark brown-streaked hair color, with no need for an accessory, it's mostly the same but slightly different (it's slighly less blond than the old version). I also managed to put together something I had wanted for her for a long time, but had never managed to get to look good, which was an alternate updo/ponytail hairstyle for some outfits. So now she does have that with some of her outfits (mostly athletic and a couple of formal, party and hot weather outfits). 

 

   

 

      

 

Apart from that Linnie has not been changed any more as regards skills or traits. Cara however, in line with what I wrote above about wanting to do some name changes for my AEP pornstar sims, now is called "Cara Lopez" which is her performer name. Her real name is Carmen Stojanovic, which is noted in the household description (I'll also make a note of that in the description page here in this thread). I also added pubic hair nude detail to her, by way of cloning and changing the category of wild_guy's pubic hair skin detail (if you use WW pubic hair you may just want to remove this, it should be in one of the scar categories I think).

Mazuiko Jackson has been updated and reuploaded!  

 

 

I mentioned this a little while back with people noting missing items and issues with the previous uploaded version. This new version of her has a new hairstyle that I like quite alot for her, even though it unfortunately has some clipping issues from time to time when she turns her head. Like with the updated to Linnie Mazuiko now has a custom hair color swatch instead of using an ombre accessory.

 

Other than that there are some occasional outfit changes (I've reuploaded the lookbook and put some outfit preview pics in the description post). Hopefully, together with the new Shared CC archive this version should cause fewer issues for people than the old one, but that remains to be seen. 

 

 

 

Most recent update was just changing the old header image, nothing new was uploaded.

Maryam Khoroushi and her family have been updated and reuploaded

 

 

This update has been a long time coming at this point, I've been working on overhualing Maryam for a while but for a while never was quite happy with how she ended up, first I tried out some different hairstyles (the old one she was using was problematic with respecting to morphing) and ended up with this one you see in the new version, then I also started making changes to her face, aiming to make her face look a bit more realistic while keeping sort of the same look, along the way I actually used pictures I generated with artbreeder and faceapp as a guide for making the edits. 

 

In addition to the changes to her face I've also been overhauling her warderobe, though largely she's kept the same style as she had before. There's a couple of preview pics and an archive with all her outfits in the post describing her, which has also been updated. 

 

In addition to Maryam, I've also updated her parents, this consists of some skill and trait changes, more info in the description post (in the spoiler) and a more substantial overhaul for Maryam's mother's face, similar to Maryam I was using artbreeder pics as a reference to making the edits.

I've made a very minor, but (I think) worthwile, update to Maryam and reuploaded her and her family.

 

 

I modified the mesh for a bow accessory (originaly intended for a different hairstyle) in order to sort of make it work with Maryam's ponytail hairstyle, for use in her formal outfits. That's the only change, I think it looks pretty nice, so I decided to reupload an updated version with this. 

 

In addition so everyone don't have to redownload the entire thing, here's just the accessory + updated tray files

I also thought I'd just give a heads up announcment that the next update is going to be Selda Demirci, who's gotten herself a new hairstyle and I've begun putting together parents for her, who are probably going to be celebrities of some kind. There's still some work that remains to be done here, but expect this one relatively soon.

Thanks! I actually got it in me to seek out this new hair from a picture I generated with artbreeder+faceapp of Selda, then I went and made a custom hair color swatch with the purple highlights (an older version of her used to have those actually). 

EDIT: Slight mistake, the second picture here (first I posted) I actually made after I found the new hairstyle, I put in the original picture that made me want to get some hairstyle with front bangs like I ended up with as well. 

 

  

 

Also since it is probably going to be a couple of days due to general stuff keeping me busy at times, here's a further preview of Selda's made over warderobe and what I've put together for her parents, Can (pronoucned kind of like "John", with more of an "a"-sound) Demirci and Lorelei Johannesen, so far.

I forgot to ask, hod did you manage to select her top tan line and hair line in skin details?   I tried doing it and one of the other deselects.

Exactly because of this there SHOULD be several hair lines in your skin details, try scrolling up and down and look if there are more.

With Maryam, if that's who you're referring to, I've done it by using tan lines in different outfit/accessory/tattoo slots (with Maryam it's actually two on top of each other). I've also cloned and changed the category slot for several skin details I use alot to allow me to further mix and match when I need to.

Nah, sorry. As far as I'm aware there isn't really a quick and universal trick like that out there.

I haven't got the new pack, I might get it eventually, but it's not currently on my radar, so I can't really say anything about any plans for that.

I was wondering, what mods do you use to set character personality traits and such? In my game, I pretty much just  make them up out of the blue with very little in game to reflect this.

If you are using "Basemental drugs" mod and it is not updated it might be the cause. Update the mod. Another usual culprit might be any "cheat UI" mod. Remove it or update it and try again.
