Looking for New Mod manager - That actually organizes mods into categories

So start getting mod conflicts and this mod folder has just all kinds of stuff in it. Is there anyone out there that can code an app to 'categorize' mods into category folders vs having them all lumped together. I know I could make a script to make folders but honestly if someone could make app that would be even better. I know there is a sim 'mod manager' but all it really does is let you turn off mods or turn mods on for different play. That's really not helpful to avoid conflicts and does nothing to keep your mods organized instead of one lump folder. The other problem is if you download one huge mod made up of 1000 mods; its a mess. Anyone else have any thoughts on this idea??

See below best way I have found to organize mods by Sim Studio Category...(Always make backup of course..as organizing mods can change mod structure)

One option might be Vortex.

It... still has room for improvement.

However, it supports sims 3 and sims 4, it allows you to assign a category to each mod (if one is not already assigned), and when working with mods in its ui you can sort mods by category or limit your scope to a single category of mod (or to several categories, if your categories are too broad and you need to narrow that down).

You don't get them in folders, but you can assign a mod to multiple categories, when that's appropriate.

It has had some issues in the past, but currently the biggest things are:

*) It takes some learning to understand how to work with it.

*) some operations aren't atomic and aren't queued (or... they weren't... maybe that has been fixed recently??), so you need to learn to keep your hands off the buttons while it crunches away, like when you are installing stuff,

*) it's a bit slower than I would like, for some operations
