I'm gonna post an anomaly (not an error since it doesn't seem to impact the selected shaders) that I receive in the OBGE log. Sounds like a problem parsing the algorithms, but this particular shit's greek to me:

 

Shader compiling messages occured in data\shaders\CelShader+EdgeAA.fx:
E:\oblivion\memory(134,9): warning X3553: can't use gradient instructions in loops with break, forcing loop to unroll

Shader compiling messages occured in data\shaders\coloreffects.fx:
E:\oblivion\memory(175,12): warning X3571: pow(f, e) will not work for negative f, use abs(f) or conditionally handle negative values if you expect them

Shader compiling messages occured in data\shaders\HLSLvignette.fx:
E:\oblivion\memory(59,29): warning X3571: pow(f, e) will not work for negative f, use abs(f) or conditionally handle negative values if you expect them

 

Again I don't think this is negatively affecting my shaders, but I wondered if anyone else receives these bangs?

meh i broke the controller =/

i ended up with walls missing from the sky stuff and my weather mods wouldn't work. so i played around with it to remove it and now the controller esp gives me a ton of errors on some of the aa settings.

like dlaa and the combo of dlaa and another one.

 

i got it working to where the walls don't flicker or don't show up, but

now the shadders don't show up right.

heck some of them just black my screen out.

That is cellshader+edgeaa.fx

You just need ot tweak it a bit, that person set the border to be pretty promonint.

EDIT : I have found, after uninstalling and reinstalling my graphiccard, shader work properly ^^

I've got a question about shaders, where do you get them? I haven't downloaded OBGE yet, but I keep seeing mention of not entering shaders into the list unless you have them, and I've looked around and haven't found the ones I plan to use.

 

EDIT : Nevermind, new question. I was checking my OBGE.ini for bUseShaderList, and I don't see it. The closest thing I have is "[Effects]

bUseEffectList=1

sEffectDirectory=data\shaders\

sEffectListFile=data\shaders\shaderlist.txt"

 

I CTRL-F'd and didn't find it either.

 

EDIT 2 : Damn that was a dumb question, realized it's the same thing, but upon launch I have a new issue.

Yes, using the controller, it will always have a 10sec~1 min freeze, as the controller is loading all available shader in it's list(This is how you can turn on/of in controller)

I suppose if it bothers me I can just get disable it and OBGE will still get the settings right?

 

Unless something changed in OBGEv3 if you disable it the shaders won't load at all.

 

Now.. if you're not into disabling and enabling shaders in game (or if you usually do it only during "photo sessions") then you can use the ShaderList.txt method once you find the the look you want in game (if you have only enabled DoF and SSAO' date=' and don't switch shaders every 5 minutes, there's no need to load ALL the shaders every time you start the game)

 

On the other hand 1 minute is not that much, and you can do something important while you wait your game to load.. like meditate about life or something.

 

EDIT.

 

Personally i don't use OBGEv3, not only it drains more power from my already strained GPU (OC 8600M GT) compared to OBGEv2, but some shaders just behaved strange, even using the same settings the game did't look the same (OBGEv3 had the crash when exiting the game gone though)

 

A few shaders didn't work at all (like the Bleach Bypass one found at The Nexus in the Motion Blur shader)

 

And i didn't use any of the OBGEv3 exclusive shaders so yeah..

 

I will upload some SS later, and probably will look into OBGEv3 now that around 2 months have passed since the last time i checked.

alternative screenshot , video capture tool , free and needs less resurces than fraps .

to bad that theres no tech thread so im doing that here.

wonder that no1 has ever mentioned the msi afterburner.

 

works with Ati and Nvidia cards , no matter what manufacture it is , i myself got a gigabyte 560 ti . will come to point soon ....

 

warning im not responsible for any damage ur doing to ur card , aslong as ur not touching any sliders there and clicking on apply nothing happens anyways . if ur expierenced with ocing then do what u can....

 

the point is incoming :

 

i never used the oblivion screenshot thingy cause it looked so limited and as i allready had that msi tool for temperature monitoring and ocing , which got a screenshot and video capture function last year , as i remember .

screens can be made in : bmp , png , jpg format , u can select a compression aswell , click on settings . same for videos ...

bind a not used key and of u go.

 

i recommend to download latest beta , 2nd on the left

hm strange

if u did exactly ,whats in sizustar´s 1 st post , there shouldnt be a problem - u sure that no other mod uses same key ? or that its broken - no clue otherwise .

worked for me in first try :(

hmmm... The PageUp key works (atleast in Windows).. kinda weird, maybe I should try with a clean oblivion version... again ó.ó

 

Is it normal, that in Data/OBSE/Plugins there is a file calles OBGEv2.dll although I only installed OBGEv3?

But I have tough time to calibrate the blurs ..

i dont understand i can't get any ssao, mdlaa and bokeh circular dof to work properly. ssao and mdlaa does not have any effect the dof blurs absolutely everything. dl obge v3 and stand alone effects from nexus did not tweak anything please help

I've got a problem ... I've installed OBGEv3 and the Standalone Effects with the controller plugin. When I press "page up", I get a choice of shaders to modify ... so I assume, most of the stuff works. But ... I only get a very small choice of shaders (Godrays, sharpen, ENB and maybe 4 or five others), not like in the pictures of the OP.

 

What is my oversight?
