Untolddead Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 Hello, I just bought the special edition and haven't played since the game released many years ago. So I've been going through the mods and they all have things like UNP and CBBE I understand that these are models created with different body builders. But they don't seem to tell you if you need anything for them to work. For example sexy statues skyrim v2 says it was built with CBBE but doesn't say it needs anything. So the question is for some one who just wants to use the models do I need to download an extra mod? I understand that clothes and physics built with the different versions won't work together properly. But as long as I get the corresponding clothes and stuff it should all just work right? Thanks.

It sounds like you have the gist of it. CBBE and UNP (and a few others) provide the base body (including nudes - this is LL after all). Then, you need to make certain that the clothing and armor that you choose for your game matches the body choice that you've made. Otherwise you will get some strange looking results. It's not any more complicated than that.
Guest Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 If you want CBBE you need: - CBBE Contains meshes, textures and additional bodyslide files to generate your own meshes (for either the body and the vanilla outfits). - BodySlide A tool to generate meshes (body and outfits) for a certain preset (for example CBBE Curvy). If you want to, you can replace the textures from CBBE for other skin textures (just make sure these new textures are compatible with the CBBE body shape), and ideally any additional armor/clothes mod you install should be made for CBBE (if it comes with it's own BodySlide files even better). For UNP you would need to port the meshes and perhaps the bodyslide files too, I'm not sure because I've stick to CBBE for Skyrim SE. Back in LE, UNP was easy to use, you just needed BodySlide (selecting UUNP support during install) and a mod to add proper textures + the bodyslide files for the outfits (custom/vanilla).
